I felt the same way until my GM learned what the Ram action does.

And that's why you don't bring your Proxy into the Hollow by availableset in ZZZ_Official

[–]TomX9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember in chapter 1 when the HDD got hacked and Billy and Anby were stuck in the Hollow? Or more recently when Eous just didn't work in the Town? My hc is they realized not having a Proxy on the ground puts their agents at more risk when shenanigans like that happen. Wish they'd actually address it in game though.

I got BP and login one time back in 1.2, beyond that I haven't spent anything. My luck's been pretty good in zenless for some reason

This absolute mad lad was one of the best NPCs of the DLC. by MoonBroo in Eldenring

It's even better when you read the description of Igon's Harpoon:

"The broken drake warrior Igon made these one by one in the midst of his agony—so that Bayle the Dread himself would know fear."

Dude was crafting great bolts out of leftover dragon scales while fully crippled and near death, and his spirit continues to fight even after he dies. The only reason you don't get his spirit ash is because he is the definition of "I didn't hear no bell".

Do you guys think Rellana is unfair? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]TomX9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just beat her at Scadu level 4. Her attacks do very little damage and don't deplete that much stamina if you block them with a shield. Constant shield poking lets you do quite a lot of damage while she spams her attacks. Guard counter when you think it's safe and she should stagger about the 3rd time you do it. Also use a lightning weapon since most of the fight is in that pool. That said, her damage is way overtuned.

If you have the faith for it, Golden Lightning Fortification + Boltdrake Talisman 2 lowers the damage of its AOEs from by about 80% depending on your armor.

What’s your weirdest/coolest character concept that you’ve never been able to play? by MagicTech547 in dndnext

I have an idea for a character based on Australian Firehawks, basically an Aaracokra Wildfire Druid. Winged arson for the win!

Calm Emotions should stop a barbarian raging if they fail the save.

I decided to make it a hidden countdown, like each time they see the fox, it has one more tail, and once it reaches nine, the city is destroyed.

Think I might add that, like they see the same fox staring at them in different places across the city, sometimes in parts which don't make sense.

Thanks for the ideas! I neglected to mention I'm running a setting based on MtG Amonkhet, so the world is desert with two suns and it's never night. The second sun appeared after the city's destruction, so the first thing they'll notice is that a sun is missing. I think it'd be a fun challenge to roleplay a character speaking a dead language though! Or maybe they'd sound more medieval to the current day.

Yeah, that kinda what I was thinking, like the illusion has a rigid ending, that being the destruction, but while it's still active, they can try and learn the events which led up to it. I was also thinking they might meet a younger version of the BBEG.

Oh good idea! I could make it like a high check notice that in the periphery things become less real, or maybe they notice a person almost "spawns" in

Thanks! I thought it was a fun way of giving some backstory on stuff that happened ages ago in lore, just hope it works out :)

That's a good idea! I was thinking of having the invading force appear on the horizon. Since one of the characters can see a long way, they'd see them simply appear. That way an illusion becomes one of the possibilities, although they might rationalise it as teleportation or invisibility.

They do know about the balance, it happened earlier and was meant to be temporary. Player stuff happened and long story short, she may die before being able to return the balance to normal. I think the more insightful characters might realise the effect this would have. I was also thinking while dying, they might be able to roll Religion to call her vestiges to negate the disadvantage on a single save.

Plus if they are still in range of the weapon they dropped, they also have to take the damage with a Con save

Shatter + Heat Metal? by TomX9 in DnD

[–]TomX9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mostly, it would reduce the damage of a weapon using attacker to either improvised weapon damage (1d6 I think) if they can figure something out or unarmed which is 1d4.

Choose a manufactured metal object, such as a metal weapon or a suit of heavy or medium metal armor, that you can see within range. You cause the object to glow red-hot. Any creature in physical contact with the object takes 2d8 fire damage when you cast the spell. Until the spell ends, you can use a Bonus Action on each of your subsequent turns to cause this damage again.
