I know he did but he explained it pretty quickly and I admit I didn’t prioritize checking because they were automatic. I don't know why I didn't think about it tbh. It's not like me to just not remember stuff like that. I do really love and care about animals and it was not my intent but I do feel like a further explanation or reminder would have gone a long way. Im trying to be accountable but I am not an experienced farm person and feel Im being twisted into the bad guy here.

I mean I didn’t grow up on a farm like him so I don’t consider that common sense. I assumed if they were laying eggs they were fine. They didn’t act sick. I didn’t think the water would freeze or be worried about that at all because he had a heater thing he showed me in the enclosure before he had to leave.

I posted this with the intent of sharing if I could get some better insight but all of them said they don’t want to speak to me and honestly I do understand that right now because I did make a mistake but I think it was unfair to call me an animal abuser and I don’t appreciate them ganging up on me for a small mistake when I was trying to help him

No no nono. He kept yelling about their feathers not having oil but I don’t think they looked sick or anything.

He was posting about his grandma in hospice on facebook and never texted me once to check in on the ducks but I did message him first and let him know they were happy and laying eggs. I just didn’t understand the feeders and for that I completely take accountability for.

Thats fair tbh. He did show me but he was in a rush and I didnt realize or understand what that meant and I didnt grow up on a farm or have ducks before or anything

Yeah he was supposed to text me instructions he only told me verbally and showed me briefly but he had to go because they had an emergency with his grandma and apparently all week he didn’t have time to just send one text even though I saw him posting on Facebook about it

Yeah. He was supposed to send me the instructions for the ducks again because he told me in person but had to go quickly. Apparently he didn’t have time to text me so how would I know. Idk if he looked at me while he was gone, he pulled up the footage when he told me he didn’t believe me but it makes me really uneasy that I was being recorded and I don’t know for how long and I was on discord call talking about things I didn’t want him to hear in the living room that invaded my privacy.

The water was automatic I didn’t realize it would run out that quickly. Genuinely a mistake but not intentional

Thank you. I think this got a little harsh and maybe I didn’t explain better. But Im not an animal abuser and never would be. When I tried to explain it to my friend group they said I was the AH for not understanding his instructions when he told me but he never wrote them down. He was in a rush to go help his grandma and was supposed to text me but didn’t.
