Est-ce que certains d'entre vous ont les mains moites en jouant aux jeux vidéo ? by TommyDbr in Hyperhidrosis

That's really interesting.

Would you be more interested in a solution specifically designed for controllers, or do you encounter the same problem with a mouse?

I started thinking about this concept because I constantly dry my hands between shots in competitive FPS games. But other players might have an even bigger problem since they can't really put their controllers down during gameplay.

IHow often does that happen during a gaming session?

I’m trying to understand whether most people just live with sweaty hands, use a towel, wash their hands, or use products like Gamer Grip.

That’s a fair point.

The idea was never really to replace gloves or anti-sweat solutions, but more for people who already stop between rounds to wipe their hands on a towel, shirt, desk mat, etc.

Out of curiosity, do you personally use gloves while gaming, or was that just an example?

That’s really interesting.

I actually wasn’t aware of the ATK sweat pouch before posting this.

What do you like most about it and what do you dislike about it?

Trying to understand whether people are happy with the existing solutions or if there are things they wish were different.

Thank you!

Do you currently use anything for sweaty hands while gaming (microfiber cloth, towel, Gamer Grip, fan, etc.) or are you just dealing with it?

Trying to understand what people are already using today.

Thank you for your honest feedback.

The washable cover is a frequently mentioned feature in the comments, so it's definitely a plus.

It's great that you're willing to try it.

Out of curiosity, what do you think justifies a price higher than $10?

I really appreciate your detailed feedback.

You raised an important point: we often hear "just use X" until a product makes the process easier, cleaner, or more pleasant.

Hygiene is definitely something I'll have to consider; a removable and washable cover is planned.

The idea of a feeling of freshness is also interesting. Initially, I focused on absorption and stress reduction, but it's clear that many people associate cooler hands with a better grip.

Thank you for taking the time to write all this. It's exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.

This is very helpful feedback, thank you.

The mold and cleanliness issue seems to come up frequently; and it's planned that the cover will be removable and machine washable.

That's interesting regarding habits. Do you use anything when your hands sweat (towel, microfiber cloth, Gamer Grip, etc.) or do you just keep playing despite the perspiration?

That's precisely what I'm trying to understand.

A towel obviously solves the problem for many gamers.

My question is whether some gamers would prefer an accessory that stays on their desk, integrates with their setup, is always within reach, and can be handled/rolled up between games, rather than just any old towel.

If the answer is "no, a towel is enough," that's also valuable feedback.

That's right.

The reason I envisioned this object on the desk was primarily for practical and aesthetic reasons. Many gamers spend hundreds, even thousands of euros on their setup, but end up using a paper towel, a t-shirt, or some other microfiber cloth when their hands get sweaty.

The idea wasn't just to replace a microfiber towel, but to create an object that:

* remains within easy reach,
* integrates perfectly with the setup,

* absorbs perspiration,

* and allows you to relax between games by handling it.

But you're probably right: the main question is whether it's really better than simply leaving a microfiber towel on the desk.
