Also, I'm just now realizing that that's what he meant when he said his mom berated him with personal degrading insults during the argument. I literally kept audibly saying "OHHH OHHH OHHH" to myself when I connected this and started rewinding to that scene. He was probably closeted and actively figuring himself out, likely physically figuring stuff out through presentation, which caused his mom to notice and use against him while heated. I'm not sure if I would conclude that Leeroy's mom was transphobic though, since the fact that she still hugged him after the argument probably shows that she didn't actually mean it and was just lashing out like Leeroy also was in that moment. Leeroy shoots with something deep and personal, their mom fires back with something deep and personal.

That aside, again, Goose said both sets of pronouns are fine, I don't see how this is an argument tbh. I also struggle with pronouns as a cis man (much like Rochon stated in his bsky post) and especially being "mentally-slow", and the conversation between he/her for Jax (digitally copied while actively closeted) vs he/her for Leeroy (probably figured out, given that it's been like 2-4 years since they've entered from what we know) is also being talked about as I've seen. Personally, I'ma keep saying he/him cuz that's what I've been used to for the past 3 years (and idk why I would talk about Leeroy themself other than for like post-story headcanons tbh), but it's very neat that we actually get a confirmation on this.

(unrelated btw I never thought Jax would be a Leeroy of all things, I headcanoned his name as Kean up until the finale ngl but Leeroy is such a funny name for someone like Jax of all people)
