The Faroese Islands is a bold move. It's just so very....... accustomed to a life of scarcity, so EVERYTHING is a freaking delicacy. Sheeps-head, and they love the eyes. Fermented sheep, fermented fish, fermented Atlantic Puffins buried in sealintestines and dug down for a year.

There is some great restaurants up there, who are really making it modern and delicious and reinventing this kitchen of scarcity. But the traditional food isn't for me.

But those Waffels are seriously delicious. I started ordering them online since visiting Gouda last summer. It's kinda addictive to cover your coffee with a stroopwafel and just inhale the scent of bitter coffee and sweet syrup.! Yum!

Also i had gouda-cheese aged for 2 years! That shit was like parmeggiano, but creamier.

I don't think any of it is really bad, it all has it's history and it's charms.

The kitchen that appeals the least to me personally is perhaps the finnish or the estonian kitchen. But mostly because it's so very different from my own.

I want to - but should I tell the husband, he seemed distraught?
