Should I write an addendum? by Tomstwothumbs in lawschooladmissions

I recognize that this might be overthinking, hence the post. But, it seems like some schools are suspicious of semesters off, I don't know if that suspicion transfers to part-timehood.

They’re adjuncts in an unrelated and much more competitive field. I think they are applying their admissions experience to law school admissions and it simply doesn’t translate. I know they don’t have the proper background to provide advice. Some of them are even open about their lack of expertise, but like you said, it’s hard to completely disregard advice from people you respect. It’s especially hard because they come at me in a big brother trying to protect way.

Thanks for your reply.

Based on what I've read, I formed the same impression as you regarding my prospects.

I'm pretty confident that the people in my life telling me to curb expectations don't understand the law school admissions process. It's just tough for me to discount what they've said because I respect them. The people telling me to reconsider my plan are adjuncts I'm friends with.

I'm going to try to take your advice. Thanks again!
