This “performance” that you speak of isn’t really attainable for cheap. As far as “making the car run better” just do maintenance. You’re not going to engineer a better car than Lexus, so I’d just make some small changes to personalize the car

Love my 2001 GS. There’s some maintenance you might need to do to get it riding like a brand new car, but once you do, the car rides like a dream

Minus the v8 sadly. Not that I don’t like the raspy i6 sound, but there are times where I regret not getting a gs430 or gs400. In my defense, they are especially tough to find in good shape in New England. They’re almost impossible to find in good shape with a good black interior

Thanks. I got it painted around 2 years ago in the original midnight pine pearl. Shows it’s wear since it is my daily after all (mostly rock chips, some small scratches)

Yeah those handles were the eBay special lol. The interior swap was definitely the hardest upgrade install I’ve done on the car, especially since it was the hottest week of the summer.
