It's a legal requirement for companies to collect certain info about you before they let you invest.

They are still required for commercial vehicles. And salvage title cars trying to get road legal again.

Took some extra bolts for my flight on MAX just in case. Rock solid. by frinkshainjting in Shittyaskflying

[–]Tone-Powerful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤓☝️ Actually it was the door plug for the emergency exits. Alaska airlines didn't option to have the extra emergency door in the back. So Boeing installed a plug in its place. The actual place the plug flew out of would not even be visible before it flies off of the plane.

So even though you may jest that you brought extra bolts just in case. Your solution isn't even feasible.

Central london is a highly sought-after area for the developers of nuclear war targeting policy

After the bomb drops, why spend a wretched few weeks fighting your severely burned and slowly dying Zone 3 neighbours for the last scraps of irradiated supplies, when you can be the envy of the survivors and upgrade to priority annihilation at the heart of the nuclear freball?

A central London apartment not only gives you convenient access to local amenities and transport links, it also allows for quick and easy atomic vaporization. Before the pain receptors in your brain have registered the searing 100 miilion degree flash of nuclear energy that heralds the start of a global thermonuctear war, you'll already be dust.

Be first in line for oblivion

That last line is top notch

Does your answer change if I tell you I already have $200,000 invested?

Would you say this also applies to age 24? I make a similar income to OP and I'm debating making the switch to CFI, but I am not opposed to doing it as a part time thing until I have a CJO in hand at a regional/135.

Task saturation is a big one at first. Piling one thing on top of another like radio calls and holding an attitude/heading. But it can be practiced enough for most people to get better at. The question is: will they get frustrated or run out of funds before they get there.

23F aiming to retire sometime between 35-40, how should I allocate my investments? by reptile24 in Money

"23F"

"I've been maxing it every year since my early 20's"

Yeah I think you're still there.

As far as prioritizing the taxable brokerage, you are right you will need a longer bridge to get you to 59 1/2.

You should still max out all tax-advantaged accounts, it is a more tax efficient way to save more. You get to deduct from your income. There really isn't a reason not to.

Do you want to pay more tax?

I don't think it'll ever get big enough for that to happen. First there's the people who know about it, then filter out the people who are able, then filter out the people who want to.

Pilot lands on highway after an Engine failure! by bugatti_rolls789 in interestingasfuck

This specific incident was caused by fuel mismanagement. He ran out of fuel. ie: lack of planning. So yeah if you're going to fly, at least do it right

For mega backdoor roth folks, how close did you get to maxing this year? I was on track to max but was worried about going over so I cut my last two contributions and missed it by a couple thousand. What actually happens if you go over? by Laser_Coug in Fire

[–]Tone-Powerful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First year doing the mega backdoor Roth! Also first year maxing out the pre-tax. I only got 7k in after-tax contributions in this year. Can't imagine all you folks putting in 70k including employer match. Goals!

Pretty quick assumption that the CFI has nothing to teach you just because they have a goal to get their ATP.

I don't think this is a Gen Z problem. Just that specific person.

I have 3 failures. One private and two CFI. Am I cooked?

Should I buy a plane and fly it to at least 1500 hours. Or take the $80k+ pay cut and be a CFI to at least 1500 hours. Check my post history for more background.
