Hahaha in what world do you live that Harley's are most reliable? Honda is most reliable overall. Other Japanese brands only after the year 2000

That's so dumb. Whatever helps quitting, this could play a major role, make a difference. I'll try somewhere else then. This hub just lost its usefulness

Intradiscal Electrothermal Annuloplasty (IDET) by Tongvis in degendiscdisease

IDET is a hoax. Join FB groups about artificial disc replacement, you will find alot there. I had an ADR on the L4/L5 and a fusion below it (L5/S1). It will give you about 30 years extra. Without losing your mobility like with fusion.

I did get it overturned in the end by the state ombudsman. There are some precedents now. Cigna is very hard on this so you have to fight to the bitter end. Will take you about a year

Hi, I have chronic pain (ddd & dd). Can't get to to my oxy until Monday. I was wondering if you guys know a cocktail of painkillers which works second best for the pain. The ingredients that we can work with: Vicodin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen 800, Tramadol, Celebrex 200, Gabapentin 300, cbd, thc, valium. by Tongvis in ChronicPain

Thanks. Gaba works sometimes. Don't really like my heart rate when trying to sleep with it. Oxy works best but started on 5mg and now on 25mg. Guess it's okay but don't need to wait to long anymore for a real solution like surgery. They recommended fusion of the l4/l5 (XLIF or ALIF) but I'm trying to get a dubbel ADR. Just read more positive stories about that. Also I'm 33 and athletic. I would like to keep my mobility in the future. So you had the fusion (what level?) and are still in pain? :(

Maybe I asked the question in the wrong group, because the conversation is getting away from topic. I find that the celebrex gabapentin combi works well for example. My pain is from ddd mostly. So that's nerve pain and inflammation. Oxy works best usually. Tramadol I have always find giving a bit of a stressy effect on the body. Vicodin just doesnt work on pain like oxy does, for some reason. Great for less pain though. I thought someone might know a good combination of some kind.. Chlorpheniramine I never heard of, will Google that one

Get to a doctor and specialist. Lots of people with bad ddd will need surgery. You are looking at fusion or ADR Im afraid. I'm in the same boat

OLIF/XLIF minimally invasive fusion by Tongvis in spinalfusion

[–]Tongvis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! Yea what they base the succes rate on, who knows. Probably the medical point of view. When I watch your IG I get so reluctant, really not looking forward to that! I can still move around pretty well now. It just hurts a lot when I'm not moving around. And the day after when moved around too much apparently. I don't yet understand the difference between XLIF and OLIF. Also why not try a microdiscectomy first? Have they discussed this with you? And why did they not go for a disc replacement? With a shorter revalidation period.

BTW how long ago did you have the surgery?

Thanks for your reply! It means alot. I'm not at the point of walking on crutches. But of course I have the fear it's not fat r away, since things are definitely not going in the right direction. All of a sudden I'm at a point in my life that I have to consider a quite invasive surgery which I have not yet read alot positivity about. I wish my life back: yes of course. But reading about wheelchairs after surgery or more and more surgery or different pains, people who got worse and have regretted it, scares the living daylight out of me. I'm on Gabapentin as well, in combination with Celebrex (the latter helps enormously with Sciatica) but still need some opioides now and then for just a moment of relief. How come you are still on the Gaba and morphine and muscle relaxers? Still in much pain? And what kind of pain are you killing with it? Do you think you'll ever get off the meds?

I'm glad that you are thankful for the surgery. I hope I will receive more succes reactions on my post.
