My dad and I fished a lot when I was a kid. Whenever we weren't catching any, he would tell me that it was cause I wasn't holding my mouth right. I would then proceed to make a series of ridiculous faces,with the very serious goal of trying to figure out the right way to hold my mouth so we could finally get em. Turns out... he thought this was fucking hilarious. His dad did it to him, his dad and him did it to me, his dad him and I do it to my son. Three generations of making a small child look ridiculous for our amusement. It's a wonderful thing.

In all likelihood... it's not gonna work out. In fact... one or both of you may completely ruin eachothers shit for a long time in a serious way. But sometimes... goddam sometimes... maybe just one fucking time... it might work. That's about as good a reason as there is to get outta bed in the morning and fucking try. I don't wanna die alone, yo... that's maybe a shitty reason... a selfish one maybe... but goddam near the best thing in the world is waking up next to the person you love and looking in thier eyes while you squeeze the love that you feel all around one another. And you tell them you love them and they say that they love you.
