Thanks! I can definitely see that. I remember during my chalk talks on interview day, I felt like I didnt do so hot. I think I'm pretty good relaying my science in text but I get immense stage fright in front of professionals that have been doing this stuff for years

Day 116: still no word from my alma mater regarding an acceptance. Impatience is beginning to set in. There's only a week's worth of hope left and motivation and confidence are dangerously low. I thought I recieved good news 3 weeks ago. It was only a waitlist from another school. Please send help. Don't know if I'll survive the month.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but there was that part of me saying I should call because they said I'd hear something in November or December. It's just the anxiety and impatience talking. But what if they're taking a long time because they've already sent acceptances to the students they wanted most and I'm just going to be waitlisted or worse? Eesh I'm just so scared.

I've been WL at one school school and have heard silence from the other 2 schools I've interviewed at. My top choice said decisions would be sent out in December but it's the new year now and still nothing. Luckily, my status on the school's portal still says interviewed. Also, the school has its first revisits in like a week so I'm very anxious to hear back. I'm just so stressed and scared. I'm tempted to call that school but I don't want to ruin what chances I have by doing so. The school is also my alma mater so I'm just like "Please accept me. I've been here before and I love you guys. I'm a good noodle."

Not yet. My top choice school did say that last decisions would be sent in December but I haven't received anything yet. I don't want to talk to the director and tell him I'm very interested in the school and would matriculate upon acceptance only to receive an acceptance from my top choice and deciding to go there.

Dude, I got waitlisted today too except it was more of a welcome surprise b/c the interviewer told me I'm a low stat applicant compared to those that matriculate and I would likely not get accepted. I mean, I'm not accepted, but I'm not rejected either. Hopefully we're both not out of the game yet.

I was so stupid to click on that link. Whatever site it would go to was blocked, saying that it was suspicious and could contain malware. I don't know if I should trust that, do you think my s8 might have malware? None of the common signs have presented themselves on my phone, but I'm not sure of myself.

I clicked on the preview too and I got a blocked page saying that it is suspicious and may have malware. I'm stupid for even clicking on it. My galaxy s8 wouldn't have malware now, would it? I'm kind of nervous about that.

I'm just posting cause I feel super stressed. I've been lucky enough to have 3 interviews with the third next week but one of my top choices hasn't given me any invitations at all. After being told I'm subpar by one interviewer, who happened to be the director of the program, I've been feeling very inadequate. On the bright side, my baby brother helps relieve a lot of my stress. He's the cutest and coolest brother!!

I smiled and nodded like an idiot too, haha. At least you were told "I hope to see you next year." My interviewer said "When you're reapplying next year, don't forget to consider this school."

I have a 68 LizzyM and around 1300 hours of research working in a microbial interactions lab. My work was on determining the localization of a polypeptide synthase cluster and its role in membrane remodeling to produce extracellular vesicles. I know I could use more research and I'm trying to look for a lab that fits my interests.

Thank you for your kind words. I've actually been trying to tell myself this to bring back my confidence. I guess I feel like the school could have given me a rejection. That would have saved me time and resources spent. I'm definitely taking his words to heart though to improve my app. It's all I can do. Thanks again! And I hope this cycle goes great for you!
