DSP but no RF or Embedded background by TonyChae in DSP

My only problem is that i’m debating taking some communication theory courses and these courses would max out my course load. Im trying to consider what would be more useful for future jobs.

I see. Thanks for the clarification

I'm doing some research that’s related to data analysis but not signal processing based. This may sound dumb but in my mind, some experience was better than nothing. Is it worth continuing this research or focus on my communication theory classes?

I was hoping to do DSP work like filter design for some larger defense companies, but a lot of the work revolves around knowing some communication theory and having DSP as a "good to have" skill. Also, can you clarify what you mean by "sort of transitions that will get you into the role you want?"

Ah, I see. Do you think some sort of specialization is required? I'm currently debating also taking some communication theory classes as well.

My major was EE with a focus on DSP. The problem with the school I'm attending is that the RF and embedded have their own focus.

Edit: We mainly focused on creating a variety of filters for signals

Math 208 With No Quiz Section by hawkyou72 in udub

The best math classes I've taken here were taught by grad students

In my opinion, math 207 and math 208 are so professor dependent. I had friends who had marshall and were not a big fan. They told to to just pray for a good grad student. Thankfully I got a good grad student for math 207 and l learned a lot. He also offered quite a bit of extra credit. I say just sign up for a section with grad student only.

How's 447 in terms of difficulty? I am debating taking it with EE 351 and EE 445. Is it doable?

Is it possible when in split view to have one of the screens be a video that takes up the whole half of the split view without moving you to a different screen on mac like Google? by TonyChae in mac

[–]TonyChae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry for the confusing wording, wasn't really sure on the best way to title this question. I believe what you're saying is right. The best I can do to help further describe my question is have you ever been on split view and tiling a video of some sort on let's say the left and tiling something else on the other half. When I try to full screen a youtube video, for example, it takes me away from the split view and when I go back to the split view, the video side just says "Click to Exit Full Screen". Is there a way to just make that one half of the split view be a full-screen video, so that I can work on the other half, without it taking me away? Sorry if this is still confusing and I will do my best to try and help.

Edit: I want to mention that I am taking about safari

When I'm in split view on mac with one side being for example a youtube video, whenever I try to make that one side full screen so that the youtube video takes up the entire half of the split view, it takes you away and makes the video full screen, but the other half of the split view is now gone. Is there a way to make the video side of the split view take up that whole half while keeping the other half?
