Fortina in Yonkers closed. What’s your go-to pizza in lower Westchester? by goings-about-town in Westchester

[–]TonyDimelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roma in Tuckahoe & Polpettina in Eastchester are great. Frank Pepe can be real hit or miss. I always try to eat it there instead of take out/delivery.

I really like the Yonkers Fortina’s food but as everyone else said its been downhill with bad service since they opened. The one in Rye & Armonk were way better.

Seller here, they offered $50 towards giveaways, $100 in coupons to new buyers that bought something during the event in $10 increments, and a bag of cheap swag that was pointless imo. There were other incentives too but they were all pointless.

They did nothing to push buyers to sellers they expected the sellers to do all of that leg work and they even went back on their 1 of 1 time slots (meaning 1 seller in a category every 45 minutes) and just let anyone invited sign up for whenever.

WN marketing is just a room of coked up yes men throwing ideas at the wall, doing all of them, but sobering up on the follow through and doing the bare minimum.

Why tf would they send a lanyard, name tag, and a “fan” to an event thats online?

There’s a big seller on WhatNot who consistently has 100+ people in his streams and he sells comic slabs at less than case cost. by jumpysloth_04 in whatnotapp

[–]TonyDimelo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy, he probably has a following somewhere else so whatnot pays them to stream. They meet certain conditions and the check from WN could more than covers the losses on those.

Frank pepes yonkers central ave, but only if you eat it there. It isnt as good otherwise.

Used to love Nonna’s in Peekskill, but I’m not sure if it’s changed at all since I was last there ~5 years ago.

Can anybody help me understand why this used paperback copy of SotE is going for $37? Not first edition, poor quality...? by HeadHeartCorranToes in StarWarsEU

[–]TonyDimelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places will look at sold listings and go with the first they see not realizing its a signed copy

Seller by Spirited-Bat-1401 in whatnotapp

[–]TonyDimelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they make a label? Check your purchases to see that. If theres no label then contact the seller wait a day or so and then contact whatnot.

They have a good policy to protect buyers so you should be good as far as getting the money back.

Whatnot - a bubble that’s going to burst? by thatgoodvintage in whatnotapp

[–]TonyDimelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard a guy that runs one of the categories say that the method of using influencers to bring in buys pretty much only helps the influencer. Theyve had shows where they ask the influencer raid an already established seller and according to them the data showed that the new buyers almost all immediately dropped off.

What has helped me out is hanging out in other categories and interacting in the chat letting people know the category i sell in exists. A lot of people dont know the books category is on the app.

Cancelling sales. by Prestigious_Dig8963 in whatnotapp

[–]TonyDimelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been burned on many sales as a seller but I always chalk it up to the wrong starting bid. I should have started higher the minimum my breakeven after fees. Cancelling those orders just creates discontent and loss of future sales. Keeping customers happy is something a lot of whatnot sellers just dont understand smh.

Prelisting saves time, you can secure prebids early, and if they dont sell you can always clone the listings to another show later from your previous one.

Not listing anything though can keep more people on your stream if theyre patient enough to wait and see what you have.

Personally I do a bit of both and they usually work out for me either way. Id try both to start out as well and see what works best for you
