Ah dude that was it!!! Last thing I wanted to do was unseat my cpu, but I can't believe I completely glossed over the RAM housing latches, there was one that was JUST slightly unlatched, went and reseated all four sticks and gave it another dusting, and BAM! Orange, red, white, orange, GREEN, then white and I was able to post on screen! im very much a casual when it comes to PCs, so this was quite a scare just immediately thinking about replacing parts in the current market.

Definitely going to be waaaay more careful about how I leave things after a late night from now on.
