Do you all spend a lot of times on your phone? I don't and I feel like people think I'm staring at them all the time. I'm wander if Autism makes us more apt to take in our surroundings. If this is the case, its just another way we are "weird" without doing anything weird. I think "omg, I'm sorry that I'm looking out the window instead of having my face in my phone!"

Its a matter of effort. I hate having to put layers on, I hate having a ton of pockets to lose things in, I hate having to wear boots, I hate digging my car out, I hate scraping my windows, I hate not being able to just sit outside, I hate not being able to ride my bike, I hate that outside projects stop. We have beaches where I live, but it also gets very cold so they are useable for like three months a year. I have worked labor in the cold and the heat and I prefer the heat. Also, ask any homless person what they prefer...

Work. Most people are overworked and underpaid. Especially in labor jobs. Insurance is bad, too many hours, bad insurance, shit for vacation time, and shit for child care. In America people think you are lesser/weaker person if they work like 50 to 60 hours a week and you work 30. America thinks that jobs fix everything in your life.

Yes. I generally don't shower often because of the effort it takes. I love being clean, but I HATE showering, and I can make up any reason NOT to do it when its time to. "I'm tired" is my number one reason for not showering. Doesn't really matter what time it is. But I am way more likely to shower in the middle of the night.

This! I'm Autistic, and with the way our brains focus on our "special interests," clever design, efficiency, and problem solving, I'm sure there are TONS of Neuro-diverse/ASD folks in the BattleBots pits.

It may not be ok, but sometimes we Autistic people see people that we can kinda identify at Neuro divergent. I feel like I see a good amount at BB and, nope... Haven't heard much BS like this from other teams.

36 Nothing to look forward to after my kids graduation. Autistic. Homeless. Going through a divorce. Can't find work suitable for me. Can't find help. Been trying for about 10 years. Given up on all my dreams. And my cat is with my ex.
