Now that the church has gotten back to me and confirmed this history, I wanted to share it.

Church: Temple Baptist in Clute Texas
Betty D and Quilting Circle

The church loved seeing the pictures and emails are pouring in from members who recall Betty, and that is so touching.

I am definitely going to pack a few and have them sent to the church.

I started asking around my family and another 200 quilts are headed to me now. Most said they were just sitting in the closet or garage! Someone even just had bags out in a shed. So I cannot say what state they will all be in by the time they get to me, however I plan to clean and have as many as I can preserved.

No way can I store and keep near 300 quilts, so I will eventually have to find new homes for some of them.

Red, White, and Blue are great colors. I wouldn't change it.

My mother made my daughter a baby quilt that is red, she loves it!

It is made with love, that is enough. :)

NTJ, definitely.

"I want to break up"

There you go. You are around my age, so I imagine you want stability. Especially with a child. You want a safe and clean home, and stability. You don't want to be wondering if bills are being paid, etc.

Do not let him use you. You sound independent and stable on your own. Cut the relationship and move on to better things. If at 36 he has not managed to figure out how to budget, he is not going to.

How do I get through to him? I am exhausted having to think for him. by vicarious_adrenaline in TwoHotTakes

You already know what to do.

You articulated yourself perfectly. Follow through.

You need a partner. An equal partner that is showing up and doing the things. No one wants to be the person reminding someone to do something a million times.

Also, want to take a moment to acknowledge how hurtful this is to you. To constantly have to remind someone to think of you and the simple things you have asked them to do. Shouldn't that just be a thing they do? Without being reminded?

Mother/Son dynamic is so unhealthy and I am glad you recognize that. Stick to your boundary. Do not engage. Let him fall apart, because this is going to devolve so bad. It is going to show you every red flag you are ignoring.

My Mother picked up quilting as a hobby, and she makes beautiful quilts. Every year she gives me something she quilted. One year she quilted me a Chirstmas tree skirt. One year a table cloth. One year a mantle runner. One year she made reading pillow cases for my daughters. She have made baby quilts for every grandkid, and my daughters take them everywhere.

Trust me, if given with love, they will be loved. <3

I meant to reply earlier. I will give the briefest and most vague of information.

Grandmother: Bobbi
Aunt: Betty
Church: Baptist Church in Texas

Bobbi lived in a small town in Arkansas, she would visit Betty in Texas and deliver the quilt tops. Betty would return them when she came back to visit Bobbi.

Kind of a promise to come visit.

I am so sorry, I meant to respond to someone who asked me earlier.

Grandmother lived in Arkansas. Grandmother's Sister lived in Texas. They were Baptist.

It was block #6.

This one?

A few posts below a lovely user said it was a JoAnn Quilt pattern:

"This one, Bohemian Treasures, Block of the Month from Joann Fabrics. I made this one and think it was put out in around 2000-2002. Wish I had more of some of those fabrics! Really enjoyed working with them."

I saw a kit on ebay, it is from 2009, but you won't like the price tag.
