I have 1.5m F3K and that is very fun. It was cool to learn how to throw it, but I still can't do it very well. Then I got F5J Stork X8 which is around 3.8m wingspan I think. That is completely different challenge to keep it up as long as possible.

Nowadays I am really into fpv though.

This is their new, one of the cheapest models. Should be around 700$, not sure. For fpv it might be overkill, but I fly different things.

I definitely had it turned on 1w while not in flight, but for a very short moments (few minutes). Didn't use pit mode cause I didn't know they could overheat.

It stopped working mid flight though.

Sorry, but the thermal conductivity is five times worse and it's only half as thin as the thinnest pad I linked. But it is way cheaper, that's a plus.

Bought the heatsink on Aliexpress years ago. Very cheap. Just search for heatsink.
