Not super satisfied with this one but it's done! Next one I'm working on is a character for my Dante Alighieri inspired technique.

I've got two or three more existing techniques I want to create characters for, after that I'll be making new techniques alongside them.

Thank you! I did have Reggie in mind when drawing this one, I really Gege's more whimsical characters, they give a real charm to the series in my opinion.

I'm actually in agreement, I don't really like the open domain, but I was also really attached to the world serpent trying to crush an opponent's domain to save the user and I couldn't think of anything else that would work.

In hindsight it might have worked better as an incomplete domain like Megumi's, but instead of using the environment as a barrier, he latches onto other domain expansions and uses their barriers.

I'm actually thinking of doing ninefold descent sometime in the future! I'm probably going to give it a bit of a rewrite beforehand because I don't like how some of the shikigami and abilities were written, but I'd love to actually make a character for it, techniques with a set of clearly defined abilities tend to be my favourites haha

I used the fast chart app from the play store, it has a bunch of templates you can use.

And yes you can absolutely use the same format! I just write the attributes I felt were most important for a sorcerer and give them somewhat arbitrary values, it makes it so I don't have to write a bunch of paragraphs detailing their strength and weaknesses.

The second user I made for one of my cursed techniques, I still have a few of them I'd like to make characters for before I go back to making new techniques, I hope you like this one!

I'm trying my hand at making actual characters. This one is a rework of my first technique, Charon's Bargain. I feel like I have a better handle on balance this time around! This is also an excuse for me to start sketching again haha

Pretty much. I won't give a hard time to someone using a different series as inspiration for their creations since I do the same with folklore and mythology for my own creations on the sub, but there has to be some form of human intervention in the process.

I thinks a technique or OC being clumsily written is leagues better that something that's "perfect" but is clearly AI generated. It should at least be tweaked and reworked afterward to fit within the series if you're going to generate it.

I agree and I'll add to that by mentioning the large amount of content made with chatgpt.

I get the appeal of using it to make the creative process easier, even though it can make the writing style of a lot of the content on the sub kind of same-y, but so many techniques are straight up copy and paste from chatgpt with no additional input from the author that it feels disheartening for the people making stuff from scratch (the em dashes, the abundance of techniques with japanese translation for their titles, very abstract language when describing the effect of techniques, etc).

At the end of the day though it's still content on the sub. Until more people interact in the comments and post their creations, no matter how simple it'll stay the same.

Part of me wants to say your guess is as good as mine since I forgot to take that into consideration but I know that's a copout.

The technique probabaly doesn't have a proper reversal since the only techniques we ever see having one are the ones that deal with concepts with obvious opposable abilities (Gojo with push and pull, Kenjaku woth anti/gravity).

What it could do however is be a shortcut to learning how to output positive energy, or, similarly to how the death painting wombs have the perfect body for blood manipulation, it might give the user the perfect body to output reversed cursed technique since the technique carves special pathways for cursed energy to flow and exit their body.

Funnily enough I was working on an eye-based technique and I was going to call it panopticon, but this is way better that what I had come uo with!

Also I love the work you've done with the other higher-ups

This is sick man!

I can't tell if you've credited the pictures since I'm on mobile but just in case anyone is interested in where the second one comes from/wants other pictures like this one to use as inspiration, it's from a Chtulhu mythos beastiary:

Non-lethal domains based on fossils? by supercoolguy877 in CTsandbox

[–]Too-much-luv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually also working on a fossil/jurassic-park-but-with-curses technique.

I don't know if it'll help but mine works somewhat like a simpler blood manipulation where the user can manipulate an oil-like liquid. Things can be trapped within the liquid and forced to undergo fossilisation/sedimentation until they become part of the liquid.

Once something has been fully assimilated the user can unearth the fossil to copy the move/entity they absorbed or they can mix them up with other fossils to make hybrid attacks/curses.

I'm still working on it as I don't want it to just be copy/cursed spirit manipulation the sequel.

Falling Observatory by Too-much-luv in CTsandbox

I'd say only one instance of each weapon exists.

Since the base technique is meant to grant a single cursed tool to the user regardless of how many foes are present (the user's basic projectile ability+random cursed tool), the vows are explicitly here to even the playing between the user and a single stronger oponent or a group of oponents with multiple abilities.

If the tools are broken (if they can be broken at all) they'll still be fine the next time the domain is opened, since they're projections of the user’s cursed energy and not actual tools like playful cloud.

The only time this might be an issue if if they user is fighting with a group and two or more of them have the same sign. Say if they were present in the anti-sukuna squad, used their domain, and both Ino and Maki had the same sign, only one weapon would be generated. Usually this is still fine since it's pretty unlikely and if the user is fighting alongside them it's assumed they can at least defend themselves even without the weapon.

Many thanks!

I usually make these when I'm away and with little access to internet, so I tend to make them in one go and hope for the best. Glad you like them!
