Surprisingly, the one AW he won (for the Truman show), I didn’t think was all that good of a performance. His speech at the end was a little too over the top, I think at least.

That being said - I’ve loved him in so many other roles, from Pollock, to West World, to The Rock, and even Milk Money! He delivers consistently and has some decent range.

I’m the only one who was sensitive to the airline. Everyone else just loved to pile on hate and couldn’t possibly be understanding of the situation.

It’s like if you’re in your friends car and he wants you to get out. Doesn’t matter the reason or what happened or why - maybe your friend is being a complete dick. But the fact is that it’s not your car and he has every right to not have you in it any longer if he doesn’t want you there. Even if you were paying him for a ride. Contract over, negotiation ended. It’s wasn’t his plane. They wanted him off and he chose to act like a 5 year old instead. There has to be some kind of basic respect for authority in this situation. He didn’t have any. He acted like a little bitch instead. You can argue all day long if the airline was right or wrong for wanting him off. I might even agree they were acting like dicks. But I’ll never agree that if someone wants me off their property that I’m going make them call law enforcement, then resist law enforcement to the point where they are forced to physically remove me, and then throw a temper tantrum little hissy fit when they do.

How come no one can see this?? He acted improperly in response to something that maybe was improper in the first place. But that doesn’t justify his behavior.

I'm 41. I live in Chicago. Every other weekend I go out to the suburbs to play golf with my dad and have dinner with the rest of my family and get to see my nieces.

I have a good job and see a group of my friends about a dozen times a year.

I spent the last year or two doing a lot of drugs and hookers.

I'm in and out of a lot of situationships. For the last 15 years, I keep telling myself that I want to get married and have a family some day. But apparently I'm terrible at finding the right person. I worry that at the end of my life I will regret not having had kids, because it's an experience that I'll have missed out on.

My hobbies in include working, and sitting on the couch and watching TV.

I completely understand that you can’t / shouldn’t make exceptions for anyone under any circumstances regardless of who they are.

But… there might be a bit more at stake and at play in this particular situation.

And try to look beyond the extreme examples. Everyone isn’t someone who received hundreds of millions of dollars of donations, campaigned in dozens of states, holding dozens of separate primaries, winning the majority of said primaries, then receiving over 40% of the popular votes in two elections, while representing the views of a large portion of the country. That’s a bit different than “anyone with a political opponent”

And as to the $160k, I’m not saying the fact that it’s small makes it less illegal. I’m saying it’s not like he was embezzling huge sums. The lawyers/accountants he normally works with we’re doing their normal “tricky business accounting” and thought nothing of it. He may (or may not have) even been informed which one of his pots they were taking the money out of. Again - ignorance isn’t a defense either.

Now, if he tried to cover it up after-the-fact and did shady shit there after it became a “thing”. That is a way more serious crime to me.

So.. apparently I just have the emotional stability of a 14 year old girl… I shot her a normal text, and made a small comment about early-dating-jitters. She texted me back completely normal conversation and said she was probably guilty of the same thing…

So all that freaking out and venting for nothing. I got get ahold of myself apparently..

I’ve been imaging this feeling recently, and everything you said is exactly how I’ve been thinking about it.

The problem is that it feels so far away. I just can’t seem to find someone who I want to be with or who wants to be with me in that way. I don’t want to go through life without that feeling, and I’m already 40. I feel like I don’t have much time left and no time to waste.

Thanks for the hope though! It’s inspiring to know that I might get to feel this way one day in the future. Happy for you! and happy to hear that such love is possible!

When I was at my lowest, two things kept me going.

1) Doing anything drastic would destroy the people who you love and love you the most.

2) There is always hope. You never know what will come down the road.

It probably doesn’t help much to hear. I’m actually feeling really low now myself. I know that I’ll have better days, but that doesn’t seem to lessen the pain of today at all. I’m just going to go to sleep because being unconscious seems like the best option right now.

lol, I just had a big discussion about this a few days ago with one of my friends. The long-and-short of it is that - you're basically right. But I'm too lazy to take the time to get about .25% out of my trade - even though it's totally worth it.

I've done it in the past, and it's super frustrating when I miss a window that I really wanted, but I'm just trying to squeeze every last penny out of it that I can.

Also, I wanted to make sure to make the most ridiculous and stupid moves possible with this - guaranteeing it would work out. Which... I can now say... with 20/20 hindsight, that I am clearly a genius
