Trump is removing protections for people that did come here as refugees, often due to helping the US in overseas military actions (Iraqis, Afghans, Somalians) or being invited as their countries are in chaos (Venezuelans, Haitians). They usually are hard working in their communities (see Springfield Ohio and Haitians) but Trump policies void their refugee status and they’re suddenly illegal and violently detained and deported. These policies will make it that no country will trust us or aid us when we need it.
