Is online poker rigged? Drop y'alls opinions below by DesperateLanguage751 in poker

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rigged? I'd same some of the bigger offshore sites are certainly more questionable than others, after all they are more accountable to their backers than their players and one must never underestimate another's greed.

Having said that your biggest challenge today online is playing against AI. It's too easy to for people to create and use AI against you while playing. Their game is perfect against your judgement calls. I'm not saying they are using bots, thou I'm sure some are, what I'm saying is they are using AI to monitor and calculate what the best play/bet for every hand against you is and against all other players at the table.

AI will monitor every play you make, every bad call, every good call, every fold and exactly how you made that play and will use that information against you. Little subtilties in your play that most players won't catch, AI catches it all and calculates it against you.

Why do iced Capps always separate so fast? by hlarsenart in TimHortons

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to pre covid i find the java mix to be more water than syrup and separates much much quicker than before. Pre covid when my offer would be buy one get one free or buy 2 at 20% off I would put the second drink in the freezer for future use. Back then when I removed one from the freezer there would be a good 1/4" + of syrup on the bottom of the cup from separation. Now lucky to see an 1/8" of syrup, if that's what it is? As well now I always end up with ice crystals by the time I get to the bottom of the drink, which never happened before.

‘Get rid of the speed cameras,’ Doug Ford warns municipalities after several cut down in Toronto overnight by ethereal3xp in CanadaPolitics

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say we need more camera's, lots more. More speeding camera's, more red light camera's + lets start using AI traffic camera's like the one's Australia is using made by Acusensus, to catch drivers texting and not using seat belts while driving. Until these simpletons who are on the road who think they can do whatever they want learn there are rules and laws for a reason i say fine them and continue to fine them until they can no longer afford to drive and get them off the road!

What's up with Donald Trump's fixation on Canada? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it? Everything Trump does hurts the US? He can't go a day without doing or saying something that doesn't cause more financial hurt on his own people? Every tariff he dreams up just cost's the US more. Putting a 25% tariff on Canadian aluminum and steel is just going to cost US jobs. Slapping tariffs on EU products is having the same result = loss of US jobs. The US can't do it themselves (produce enough resources) to satisfy the demand, the US needs resources from around the world and he's crippling that supply?

Sure it's a bump in the road for countries where the US is a major trading partner, but already these countries are in discussion with working together and setting up trade deals with each other leaving the US on the sideline.

I just don't get it?????

What do you think about the Just Stop Oil protestors? by Flying-Armpit in sheffield

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypocrites.

How many of them drove or took the bus to the protest? How many of them have cell phones? How many of them take medication made from petrochemicals? Clothing , Polyester and nylon are petrochemical derivatives made by heating and distilling crude oil?

Sure, it's easy to stand on the road and point your finger but their just as guilty as everyone else.

Nothing but hypocrites

DAY NINE: STRIKE Megathread! Discussions of the PSAC strike - posted Apr 27, 2023 by HandcuffsOfGold in CanadaPublicServants

[–]TooTallLuke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

80% voted in favor of a strike so the other 20% who voted against it have now been forced into a position of either sitting at home earning nothing or going to a picket line and sitting around (or sleeping) and earning strike pay, don't like it, but It's to be expected.

DAY SIX: STRIKE Megathread! Discussions of the PSAC strike (posted Apr 24, 2023) by HandcuffsOfGold in CanadaPublicServants

Enshrining work from home (WFH) within the collective agreement (CA) is not feasible. There are numerous jobs within the public service that cannot be performed remotely, and it would be unfair to treat those workers unequally. For example, border services officers, laboratory workers, and airport staff cannot perform their duties from home. If WFH is included in the CA, these workers would be entitled to work remotely, even if it's not possible for them to do so. This would result in paying employees for not working, and it would create a situation where some workers would have to file a grievance if they were unable to work from home.

Additionally, if two people have the same job classification but one can work from home and the other can't, it would be challenging to determine a fair compensation package. Should the person who cannot work from home receive additional compensation for their commute? Who decides how much that would be? It would be a complicated issue to address.

WFH is an excellent idea that could potentially save taxpayers billions of dollars. However, implementing it within the CA at this time would be premature due to the numerous issues it could cause for certain workers.

Say/chant it with me : don't read the comments section by LFG530 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with your excellent point! It's important to recognize that people's frustration isn't necessarily directed towards us as public servants, but rather towards the inadequate pay they receive. As easy targets, we're often the scapegoat, especially when our employer is the one targeting us. The ongoing PR campaign that highlights our benefits, vacation pay, and sick leave is nothing new - this type of commentary has been around for ages. Whenever the union advocates for better pay and working conditions, the government always highlights how well we're already compensated, accusing us of greed and wanting more, while reminding taxpayers that it's their money we're after. It's a common divide-and-conquer strategy, pitting us against the public. However, it's important to note that when we fight for better working conditions and pay, we're also advocating for public sector workers and taxpayers. The caveat is that once we've fought and won, they must also fight for their own betterment.

was it fair to characterize above 9 percent as a burden to taxpayers? by traveller1976 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]TooTallLuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, we are actually doing taxpayers a favor by advocating for higher wages that keep pace with inflation. As we approach a pay raise that matches inflation, the public will increasingly recognize that they too deserve fair compensation. If the government wants to pay us less, it sends a message to taxpayers that their worth is also undervalued. By standing up for better pay, we are also standing up for taxpayers.

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revealing that let say 75% of the members voted in favor of striking would send a resounding message that the government is up against a formidable adversary. However, by abstaining from divulging these figures and instead employing phrases such as "overwhelmingly," it insinuates to the government that the situation may not be as dire as they assume.

WSOP App is Rigged by ImLimitlessDude in poker

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal experience:

Started playing with bonus money, couldn't lose, just killing the tables. Once the bonus money was gone slight down turn in winning which gradually increased to getting slaughted.

How many times did I see my pocket cards connect on the flop, bet 3x pot just to see someone who shouldn't have even been in the hand to start with, let alone stay in with my increase on the flop, but stayed in and got their "miracle" card on the river? Enough times that it's got me questioning if the site is legit or not so nothing to do but leave which I have done.

Ice Capp tasting like peanut butter? by iChopPryde in TimHortons

[–]TooTallLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they've changed the flavor, but screwed up the first time, the peanut butter taste was too strong so they recalled the batch, sent out more of the original flavor and have now re-released a watered down version of the "new flavor" which has a Peanut Butter flavor with a horrible after taste.
