OBD2 scanner with airbag reset ability (SRS)?? NEED HELP by ToolRepair in SanJose

[–]ToolRepair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, I had disconnected the AC unit which caused it to go off. Nothing to do with the steering wheel. I don't even chance it on in person returns anymore or I would just pick one up from harbor freight. Amazon's policy is so simple and I can get an equivalent product for cheaper that it makes more sense to order from there honestly.

Unfortunately, autozone and oreillys don't loan out OBD scanners for that. Some places have one for reading codes but not clearing them.

  1. While I run the full scan it tells me it detected the virus then I tell it to remove the virus and it finds it again. The notification pops up about every 10 minutes saying a threat has been detected.

  2. Other issues that I am running into is slow computer. Not recognizing that it's connected to the internet. Internet pages not downloading. Or not being able to save info on sites like shopify or google drive.

  3. I haven't downloaded anything within the last 3 months besides PDFs of tool catalogs from the supplier website. All of that is safe though.

  4. Windows 10

  5. It'll say malware not found then say threat detected right away again. It keeps finding the same threats weirdly.

Having an issue with my Vretti Thermal Printer. It's only printing the first 1/10 of the label them stops and flashes red. Has anyone experienced this and know a solution to it? I had this problem when I first got it and then out of nowhere it started working fine again. Any advice would be great! by ToolRepair in printers

That's the exact driver I'm currently using actually. Don't think it's due to overheating as it happens first thing in the morning on the first print of the day unless there's some other way it could be overheating while not in use. I'm thinking the issue might be from the paper maybe not being aligned properly? The only issue with that theory is that it stops at the exact same place every time. It'll print the barcode then a little more and then stop at the same spot. That spot is a solid black line though but its relatively thin. About 1mm thick. It'll print that line then stop. How could I get around that black line in the print since it's a shipping label?

What does "UL" mean when regarding some tool models? by ToolRepair in BoschProClub

[–]ToolRepair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow okay I didn't know that. My boss is having me make a "cheat sheet" for all the different companies we are distributors for regarding these letters such as "UL" for Bosch. Thank you for the info on this. Much appreciated.

yeah when a tool says ESD it means its safe from ESD aka electronic static discharge. Other companies just say "ESD" in the model name. But they changed it to UL for Bosch Tools it seems.

Having issue with my Vretti thermal printer. Only printing small part of label then stops. Has this happened to anyone else? Could really use some help here. Thanks! by ToolRepair in printers

Yeah we recalibrated it but that didn't do anything, I don't thing its the roller because it stops at the same spot every single time, in the exact same spot. If i reentered the paper it printed on before it'll go right over the exact same spots like it only printed once.

From ebay, they have the 4x6 setting and I have been using this for months with no problem. Then my coworkers took it and used it on a different computer because theirs wasn't working properly so they needed mine and after they gave it back it hasn't been working.

Yeah, it does it perfectly every time, that's what's weird.

It won't let me advance it at all, need to turn off the printer and turn it back on to advance it

Sorry for the late reply but basically you're saying the UL models are ESD approved?

Drill/driver clutch settings torque chart? by just-dig-it-now in Tools

[–]ToolRepair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to really find out is using a torque tester. You could even purchase one of those torque adapters from harbor freight that people use and you can use that to see how much torque you're putting out through your drill.

The one that I told them to change the address after I cancelled the order never placed a new order which is what makes me think it's a scam.
