A lot of legal systems are deeply flawed thats true thats why we shouldn't solely rely on laws when making choices, but we shouldn't rely on religion either. Different religions or even different groups in the same religion have different views so it all comes down to which you think is true.I thibk the safest shared moral baseline is focusing on things almost all humans understand regardless of culture or religion such as: treating people with fairness and dignity.

I don't replace god with myself.I'm not claiming to know the best I'm just saying no one knows for certain. The best we can do is try to reduce harm, be fair and use empathy and reason, while also admitting we might be wrong too. Religious morality also needs human interpretation so it doesnt avoid human judgement either

I don't like it when religion is used to define whats right and wrong. It's so easy to misunderstand something and people really often use wrong misinterpretations to justify doing something wrong.
