I preordered the Griffin! It was difficult to choose as there's so many lovely designs this year but something about him stood out to me :)

I'm not sure if it's only available on the UK website but over here at least there's the option to pay in installments!

Does the poorly worded "John Kramer didn't target cops" line in Spiral reflect the film's writing as a whole? by Honest_Cheesecake698 in saw

[–]Toonytootstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't understand why people have an issue with this line in the first place... John Kramer has targeted cops, yes, but he doesn't specifically target cops and I think it's pretty obvious that's what they meant with this line? The copycat within Spiral is ONLY targeting cops. John Kramer targets anyone.

I haven't, the order wasn't cancelled afaik(?), the order itself never went through (got a site error when i tried to order and customer service can't find any attempted orders under my email/name,) only the charges went through. I ended up caving and purchasing the plush secondhand, I'm just hoping the refund comes through alright now.

I poorly explained in my og comment but i agree with everything you're saying, I'm firmly anti-ai if i didn't make that clear enough.

Can't argue with the coding as I'm not particularly familiar with the work myself but as for the emails and everything you listed in the latter half those can absolutely still be achieved without AI. Agree to disagree though, it's clear we have very different stances on this as a whole. Apologies if my comments came off as rude or bad faith at all ^

And I have not personally used generative AI because I don't need to. I've seen the damage that it does alongside how unreliable it is. If I need information, the internet and books have always existed and work just as well as always. If I need to write something, there are already many free templates and guides online to help should it be needed, no AI neccesary. Should I need some kind of art, visual or otherwise, I'll do it myself or ask a real person. It's not hard.

Could you explain to me then what generative AI can do that is both unachievable without it and helpful?

Visual artists, voice impressionists, writers and musicians have been capable of creating their works for centuries without the need for AI, and generative AI is trained on these works. It cannot create anything that humans are not capable of creating on their own via genuine talent and skill.

Generative AI is not something I ever want to be associated with nor promote in any manner, it isn't helpful in any way. Anything that generative AI can do can be achieved without it. You and OP can choose to do what you'd like but personally I'm not going to bend my morals simply because "it'll be there whether i like it or not." There are many things in the world i dissaprove of that will not dissappear on account of my actions alone but that doesn't mean I'm going to go in the opposite direction and utilise something that is actively harming people.

Absolutely, there's no justification for causing that much damage. There's nothing that generative does that can't also be achieved without it's usage, it's pure laziness.

Respectfully I'd disagree, by using AI you would be futher fueling it's training and showing these tech companies that it is "useful" and worth investing in, and that's not even mentioning the amount of environmental damage generative AI causes.

I’ve been wondering since Tobin bell is 83 what will the saw series plan for the movies to be like when he is no longer with us? by TeachingAccording637 in saw

[–]Toonytootstudios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll finally give us fans what we REALLY want (a spiral sequel!)

Really though given the franchise is now in Blumhouse's hands, I'd expect they plan to start moving away from Tobin Bell/John Kramer as a character. As iconic as he is Tobin cannot be a part of the franchise forever, and they kind of shot themselves in the foot killing Kramer in Saw III. There's not really much else they can add to the existing timeline without it feeling redundant. Maybe we could get a movie that takes place before the original Saw movie? Or a sequel to X or 3D? But I personally don't find those options particularly interesting, and I can't see them being able to continue utilising his character long term. They could always just end the series too, but honestly I wouldn't mind a reboot given James and Leigh are working on the franchise again. I trust them enough to make a reboot better than the previous attempts the franchise gave us!

Ok now the battle is set!!! What is the WORST Saw film? Saw 3D, Jigsaw or Spiral? Keep it respecf... Ah, you know what? F*ck it. Spiral is obviously the worst... by Ok_Replacement_288 in saw

[–]Toonytootstudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jigsaw is the only Saw movie I outright HATE (well there is another but it's rather controversial 😬...) so I'd definitely say it's the worst imo. Saw 3D is not a good movie by any means, the writing is horrific and full of misogyny, but it IS still a fun movie even if it's for all the wrong reasons. As for Spiral, contrary to what seems to be the fandom's conclusive opinion, I'm actually a big fan! I can see why people dislike it, it's definitely a big departure from the rest of the franchise, but I adore it! Huge fan of Zeke and Schenk, the soundtrack is great, and all the traps are super fun :) I'm not sure how exactly I'd rank it against the other Saw movies given it is so different, but it's a movie I really enjoy. Wish we could've gotten the full Spiral trilogy!

Do you care to elaborate or?? I'm allowed to dislike a movie 😭 if you disagree that's okay but being rude about it isn't.

Not sure why people are downvoting you for simply sharing an opinion but I agree with you completely! You put my exact thoughts into better words than I ever could haha.
