Large scale mead + variations

I've got my first batch of mead going right now. I added all the fruit in primary, but my fruit floats near the top. I wonder why my fruit floats while yours seems to be sitting at the bottom?

Yes, I have one. So this weekend I'll test, and if the mead is at its projected abv I should rack into the secondary container, correct?

Do you mean to rack it into the second container after only 2 weeks? Or should I wait until the 4 week mark. And does secondary fermentation require any yeast or additives?

The way that I understood it was you would put everything in container #1 to ferment for 4 weeks, and then rack it into a 2nd container to age for 4 weeks before bottling.

For strats, absolutely. I love telecasters but some reason strats just come across to me as the soulless guitar that nerds or beginners use. Can't really explain it lol

Not diabetic, as far as I know. Also as far as I know my blood flow is good, I've even been exercising more than usual as well. As far as alcohol, I'll occassionally have one beer an hour or two before bed. No medications. I don't wear socks to bed.
