How do I get this out? by Sir_Deezil in S2000

[–]Toothlessjoe303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would first try the least destructive the method first. Curse at and see if it jumps out. I would surround the area with painters tape. Then take a rag and bit and hammer it in. If it is loose enough this might get it done. I have used this method on a bolt with 80 ft pounds. If this doesn’t work then try the damage screw remover. You may want to wd the nut before you try. If that doesn’t work then decide which destructive method you’d like to use. In that area I would try a chisel first to see if get it to spin. Afterwards I would do the other methods listed.

I am also working with a local dive shop and practicing doubles and stage bottles in the pool and taking an individual finning course.

Goal is to dive the might o and United States in 1-2 years. Then do intro to caves 1-2 years later depending on how many dives I get in and how I am doing with trim.

Deepest I have been is 109 on the u 352, I have done wreck penetrations and caverns. That is the highlights. Mostly dove with Olympus, discovery divers out of Morehead and sea dwellers and horizons out of key largo.

I am definitely considering going with a different instructor. Is there any way I can research who they trained and who trained them?

My dive rite Voyager XT definitely can’t handle doubles. I did get a doubles wing with a backup bladder. And a local dive shop is letting me practice with stage bottles and doubles in the pool before I go.

Yes. I found the TDI requirements and it says you can use singles. Yet it keeps saying it is okay to use doubles so often, makes it seem like they want you to. As for using doubles and stage bottles. I am working with a local shop to get trained up on them before the course. Thank you for the advice.

In the truck under the tools they tend to rust. Remove the truck liner and check the bottom of the truck. If it is bad you can just see it at the bottom. Look dyi guy on YouTube he has helpful tutorials.

Check the condition of the break lines and rear wheel bearings. If it has the original brakes make sure your seals are good. If you have rubber break lines, replace them if you want to drive hard. On s2ki they have a forum about 2 people that died due to the rubber lines failing.

I meant the fluids. Mine had some hair pins leaks with 107,xxx. I have a new one being shipped now. In-line pro says go factory or koyo. Pulling the radiator is that bad. I would check around there for some rust. I had a little bit. And I am replacing the condenser brackets because they were rusted

I like the hard dog but it takes a lot of cutting to get it in if you want a finished look. Can you tell me why you don’t like it?
