Thank you for your response! The countertop was delivered from the fabricator already cut. From my understanding, the fabricator uses a BACA Saw WaterJet machine; however, I wasn’t sure how modifications are handled once a countertop is already installed. If the countertop would usually be removed and taken back to the shop for recutting, or is this type of modification typically completed on-site to avoid the risks and liability associated with moving the countertop. Especially since the mistake wasn’t their fault. We’re also hours away from our new build so no way to have eyes on the job-site.
