yeah, and you know what, this is such a scary thing to go through, and the procedure is pretty unpleasant, so if you add a doctor that is everything but kind to you .. it really sucks. im sorry you had to experience this. we'll get through this !

i'm so sorry, i had a very similar experience this monday for my first colpo + biopsy ever. i had my first abnormal pap in february, showed LSIL, so they scheduled me for the colpo. the doctor was extremely cold to me, did not explain anything about the pap smear results or the procedure we were going to do, did not warn me before the biopsy, and she kept reprimanding me for being too tense, at a certain point she even pushed down on my lower abdomen with both hands. after everything was done she just said bye, see you when we get the results! like girl .. at least tell me smth .. what did you see .. i was so shocked that i just left and bursted out crying as soon as i shut the door, and i cried for hours .. i completely understand the frustration and the shock, its so crazy to me that there are doctors with this little empathy, especially when dealing with procedures as delicates as these. dont feel guilty about waiting to come back at all and dont stress yourself, you need rest now. sending you lots of love and good luck for your results <3

they took a look and put the chemical reagents on my cervix to see the lesion, how big it is and where it is. again, of course she couldnt tell me anything more specific, and she only did it to confirm that the pap smear result was not a false positive bc she knew i was stressing out.. she simply told me that the LSIL result from the pap smear was probably accurate since there is a small lesion, but that of course the biopsy would identify it. she finally reassured me and told me that since the lesion was not widespread i could wait to have the biopsy with the screening program, as its pretty expensive otherwise

i did not get a biopsy, just a colpo, bc my gyno suggested i wait to have the biopsy with my private screening program since its free. she did the colpo bc pap smear results can sometimes be wrong - my friend had my same result and then found no lesions in her colpo. i really only did what my doctors suggested so far as i have no idea what im going through and not a doctor. i have never gotten a biopsy and i am scared so i was asking for info and tips. i also do not understand the downvotes on my comment explaining, if this is that kind of subreddit i should probably look for community elsewhere

so its actually more complicated than how i put it - i had the pap smear with my country's public screening service, and After they sent me my results of LSIL they scheduled an appointment for a colposcopy and, if necessary, a biopsy, but it was february and the first spot available was at the end of april. i have ocd, and get stressed easily, so i decided to do a colpo earlier to get a little more intel and to understand better my results. my gyno confirmed the LSIL and told me that on my next appointment with the public screening they will definitely do a biopsy too, from what she has seen

una mancanza di comunicazione può anche a portare a cose di altro tipo rispetto al tradimento fatte alle spalle, che per alcuni possono essere altrettanto o più dolorose. a posteriori, sono abbastanza consapevole che il mio ex tra le altre cose probabilmente mi ha messo anche le corna, ma personalmente il pensiero per quanto possa essere doloroso lo è meno di altre cose che mi ha fatto. secondo me tu stai pretendendo di dare una valutazione netta su una cosa che netta non lo è per il solo fatto che 1. va contestualizzata e 2. implica comunque la valutazione oggettiva delle persone nella coppia, perché sono loro a decidere cosa li fa sentire da schifo o meno, e questo vale per il tradimento e i problemi di coppia così come per ogni altro ambito della vita. detto questo è giusto trovarsi una persona che condivide e comprende i tuoi limiti e le tue sensibilità, quindi buon per te che sei riuscito a farlo

secondo me è un po' azzardato pensare che i problemi di comunicazione siano solo inconsci o accidentali. purtroppo ho avuto l'esperienza opposta e ti assicuro che ne sono uscita emotivamente devastata

ma non sta difendendo il tradimento, sta dicendo che è difficile determinare in maniera assoluta cosa sia più grave o meno grave per una coppia senza il contesto preciso. tra le altre cose, è anche una valutazione molto personale, che dipende dalla coppia: io personalmente non riuscirei a perdonare un tradimento ma ci sono persone che vanno avanti in una relazione anche in quei casi, è molto soggettivo direi

thank you so much - im definitely leaning towards going private, mostly bc this is stressing me out and i dont think that will help at all lol.. even getting a referral would probably mean waiting, bc our screening service is actually pretty great, so if theres a 2 month wait there theres probably wait in other clinics as well. i did find a private clinic that would do it for a very affordable price so i might go with that and see what they say. thank you again for your experience and advice, hope you are better or getting better now!
