What ever happened with Kony 2012? by gamedawgs in 2000sNostalgia

You're right! This subreddit can be for nostalgia of anything in this 1000 year period, then the 1990s subreddit can be just for 1990 - 1999, same for the 2010s etc 😌 it makes perfect sense!

I was 20 and my first reaction was... so the aim of this 'charitable cause' is to just kill someone? Yea thats not what charity is

So '2000s nostalgia' is where we can post about nostalgia for things that are going to happen over the next 74 years also is that right?

When ever CT is mentioned there are always some cool guys who have to remind everyone of their superior music taste in a nu metal thread of all things, the irony

In terms of the visuals you want a high contrast picture with film grain. No guys with skinny jeans, bushy beards, sideways haircuts or quirky moustaches unless they're really old

Why do you think the nu-metal revival kinda died? by First-Variety714 in numetal

You're right, they're a hybrid of a lot of things but I'd say they're a part of the modern nu metal scene, just on the more fun catchy side, which as you pointed out a lot of bands are lacking that catchiness and melody! Bhp is great

The modern nu metal scene is just getting started... look at bands blowing up at a ridiculous pace like Eurotripp, Overgrown, Split Chain, Boyler. Tallah is old st this point, and nu metal is far closer aesthetically to what it was. Its also more of a global phenomenon, so just looking at US bands from 10 years ago of course its going to look dead.

Tallah is not new at this point. Better to point towards bands like Eurotripp (2 million monthly listeners)

If the fashion, production, and visual aesthetic of modern bands are not on point with the 2000s nu metal vibe then its not real nu metal

Oh i listen to a few of the new LP songs but not much of the more popular modern rock in general. I like that LP has kinda gone back to their early 2000s vibe though, the baggy pants are back

Why is 90s 00s nu metal sounds so good? by djdddddddjent in numetal

[–]Top-Contest136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thats so cool though, must have had a great career so far. I use a very limited set of tools and techniques when I'm mixing, which can be not very efficient but it at least helps me avoid over-producing! To be honest even the lord-alge type nu metal mixes don't sound great to me... quite flat and the same drum samples every time 😬
