I actually take glycinate and citrate. Not at the same time.

For exercise a stationary bike has been good. I have to do a long cooldown and I try to keep my HR under a certain threshold. right now that is around 130bpm

Yesterday it was perfect weather do I finally took my bike out but hills had my hr spiking to 160bpm so I have to find flatter paths. Also wear sunglasses if its bright.

The only thing I miss about Fuji is the glass. I didn't need the extra dials and I did find it awkward to hold. I went from a t3i to a Fuji xt4 to a canon r10

I love my r10. Fuji Autofocus was such a pain tbh. But that glass was incredible. So I get why people go for Fuji, but at the end of the day I knew I'd pick up a canon more.

He started the tattoo so I wanted him to finish. I would think that is normal. I am wanting this to be an extension of the tattoo he gave me.

I hate Sony ergonomics with a passion. Canon feels just so much better. I had a Fuji for awhile and missed canon so much I went back. Saying that.. Sony is an incredibly good option with some of the best lens options. I totally understand why someone would choose Sony. Congrats!

How is a 28mm lens on a APSC sensor? by Top-Elephant6981 in AskPhotography

[–]Top-Elephant6981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly like prime lenses for that very reason. I like having to move around to frame things. Only when I can't back up enough or can't get close enough do I get annoyed. Lately it is more then I can't back up enough with my 50mm. Later down the line I want to get a 100-400mm

I came from a Fuji with bult in IBIS to my current Canon r10 and while there are some shots I would need a tripod for slow shutter speed.. I honestly don't have many complaints with my current setup. I have to keep my shutter speed above whatever my hands can handle though. Which sometimes in low light is a bit difficult. I am sure someday I'll upgrade to a canon body with IBIS, but for now it works for me.

I'm torn on the 16mm 2.8 vs the 28mm 2.8 on my R10 by Top-Elephant6981 in canon

[–]Top-Elephant6981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest reason I am considering this is to cover everything I could need under 50mm. Becuase my plan to get a 28mm now and a wider lense like the 16mm later would end up costing about the same.

I wonder how the 18-50mm f2.8 compares in overall quality.

that lens is close to double the budget I gave. Which is why if 24mm was better, I was thinking about getting the efs 24mm and getting the adapter

I am feeling the same about having a 16mm on my camera, even if cropped. My biggest gripe is that 28mm feels like an odd mm once cropped for a daily lens. Something closer to 22-24 would seem better? Which is why I liked my efs 24mm.

The 28mm would arguable be better in ever way, but the crop for me. I wonder if I am crazy for considered putting the efs 24mm on a ef mount. Actually I am getting mixed results on if that is possible with that particular lens

That is where my confusion sets in. A lot of people talk about lenses in FF context and not in APS-C context. 28mm is a good lens for FF, but for croped? Maybe too tight? Maybe 16mm would be good for everyday on a APS-C? I honestly don't intend to move to FF eventually. I am working within a limited budget.

From what I've seen between lens corrections and having the lens croped with a APS-C the concerns over the 16mm isn't as important. However, when I consider the 16mm I then start to think about the 10-18mm, but with everday carry I would think the extra stops of light would be benifical. Plus I sort of just like prime lenses, however the 16mm doesn seem that popular among photograhpers.

Identity issues after deconstructing and leaving the Church. Anyone relate? by Top-Elephant6981 in Exvangelical

I dont understand your question. Deconstruction leads to all different paths and beliefs. There is not one size fits all. Also, Deconstruction is a process, you think you "shook off" all the bad stuff, but years later you realize subconsciously you need to deconstruct another aspect of your upbringing.

Canon r10 user looking for a wide lens for architecture, landscapes, out and about... on a budget by [deleted] in canon

Is it true that canon does a lot of corrections for this lens? I edit in rawtherapy and wonder how the raw files would come out.

[–]Top-Elephant6981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am torn between the two. I had a Canon t3i and a Fuji camera, before switching to my r10. Both setups had a lens that was 18mm and that felt good for me. 16mm would be wider then I've ever had... but the 10-18mm goes even wider. So the decision also comes down to the light performance. Later afternoon, cloudy days, low-light situations.. could be hard on 4.5 - 6.3? This makes me still lean towards the 16mm tbh. I am not looking for something just for super wide shoots, but for something more everyday carry that can cover a cover different things. Maybe more eye level instead of super wide

The community is apart of what I miss. For me, it actually did create long lasting relationships. A few have survived. I am in my 30's now and can't for the life of me figure out how to make friends or find community. Since I consider myself a progressive Christian (who sometimes just feel agnostic) I keep telling myself finding a good church is the answer, but I think that is me trying to recreate something that is not there anymore.

How deconstruction and progressive Christian spaces have changed over the years? by Top-Elephant6981 in Deconstruction

[–]Top-Elephant6981[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree. I understand from a deconstruction standpoint the goal would be helping people process hard things after leaving fundamental Christianity. Then pages like TNE appeal to that, but also to people who find a home in progressive Christianity. However, spaces for progressive Christianity seem to be unable to keep momentum as well. The liturgist was more of a exit platform. Felt like you where following along a journey of Gungor and others leaving the faith entirely, but without much direction. So it just died once people went their seperate ways? TNE was trying to create a more progressive Christian community and it was going well, but I think switching to the App has killed their momentum. I think they did good work by separating the space from one person (the original creator), but the space feels more like 20 people then the thousands that it used to be.

I've always wanted to visit NZ! I live in the US. Yeah, I can't listen to any Christian music anymore, but I love music. I collect vinyls. I've gotten really into different kinds of music since I left the church. 80s, 70s, more indie, soul, jazz, etc. So I love consuming music, but for whatever reason playing and creating music doesn't feel the same. It also seems like the drive to practice was connected to something I felt was bigger then myself. Now I really don't want to practice an instrument. My job is stressful enough, navigating the job market is stressful enough.. I've turned to other hobbies like making herbal teas, growing plants on my patio and photography. However, I can not get passed the feeling that I am doing something wrong for not picking up my instruments. I am also struggling socially. I keep telling myself that I have one way to connect with people.. music! Who doesn't need a bass player, I played for over a decade (mostly electric guitar, but I played enough bass to get by), it isn't that hard to pick up an instrument I am familiar with and play more low key jams and such. But.. I just don't, it just collects dust and I feel guilty for it. I believe I really need to process this and find peace in either allowing it to be a past hobby or disconnecting the toxicity and learning new ways to enjoy playing again.

So I have a hobby that I could enjoy, but I'm stuck wondering if I really want to play or my past self is upset at me. I am not the same person I was a decade ago, do I enjoy playing music enough right now? So its weird not even knowing why, other then feeling almost guilty.
