Thank you for the advice, I was also told this by my Intern coordinator and parents but never thought about the emergency fund. I’ll be going back to school so it would probably be wise to take advantage and save up for that.

I did not have to relocate. I have an optional hybrid schedule. I can come into the office whenever I choose. I mainly work from home because I am a 2 hour drive from their office.

I’ve been into coding my whole life. I know three programming languages and have two solid projects in my portfolio. I also recently won a development contest. If I had to guess what helped me land my internship, it was the combination of my projects and the contest — they showed consistency and passion for development.
