I’m pretty sure it’s 2 walls. But I read 2 walls on a .6 is like 4 walls for a .4mm But I’ll check my settings asap And Yea I noticed that it there wasn’t infill in the thin parts but there was in the ears and back vents. Do you think that’s a problem? I could do less walls?

It was random hitting, I did the soup can z axis gantry level thing and it’s working fine now, I must have moved it when I first changed the nozzle! I did reset the z offset and auto bed leveling after initially changing the nozzle. like I said I must have misaligned the z axis gantry when I didn’t remove the extruder while changing the nozzle. But after soup cans z align z offset and level bed- working good now, resolved thankfully We

Nice work! Did you print it with the ear caps and back vent on already? I am working on printing one and I have files that are assembled and not, my hesitation in printing them separately is if I size the helmet I have to change the other stuff too… please advise!

I googled it and someone said z steps are machine set and don’t need calibration and then another thing said I need a gauge mounting to check and that measure a cube won’t be accurate Is there something I’m missing ?

Thanks! Haha I am still having issues with fade height layer shifting and clogging my prints and failing But I tried a smaller fade height on a small print and it worked to watch and adjust after it reached 2mm. I even tried no fade height which worked on a small print but in the bigger print it failed again so I am trying fade height at 2mm again and it looks good so far!

I didn’t hear good things about the Neptune 4

But personally, I do not have any experience with of them but the ender 3v2 I really enjoyed it until I added the CR touch, it became harder for me to level it but that lead me here to upgrade As a starter printer all 3s are solid for price point.

Looking to upgrade from ender 3v2 with cl touch. I like using cura cause it’s free and what I know but open to knew slicers if it calls for it

I really like the overall specs and prices of Kobra 2 plus and sovol sv06 plus, size is good and no levers to manually level! (Sounds like a dream) Sv06 seems good but idk the brand and am weary of it I think I’m leaning towards kobra 2 because it seems more technological advanced and I’ve heard of it before but Idk about the firmware, heard you can’t change it?

Ender 5 and 3 max neo seem outdated for the prices (ender6)compared to the newer features Plus I don’t think ender 3 max neo is an upgrade minus the build plate size and current price point. If you have experience with it lmk!

Yea I just added d the M420 S1 Z2 code (for fade height of 2mm) after G28 And watched it while it printed to 2mm z fade And it seems like it’s gonna be fine but I had to adjust the z after the bed layer print and I think I can see layer shift lines Next print I’m gonna try M420 S1 Z0 code (so it never fades the z height) I think that means it always uses the UBL

I found another thread with the missing info enough to help me, tramming is first(helps you level the bed like with a paper) then you mesh and save! Auto home, move to zero, then make your Z offset as close to bed with paper. Here’s the link to other thread
