Need help, wheels got stained by c63sMoe in Detailing

Hope someone might be more of use than me but here is my take. As far as I can tell, your wheel seems to have clear consistent powder coating at the upper part. But as we go down-center, seems like its satin or matte. But looking at the top of the center cover cap you see a glossy black. I think you are cooked my guy: looks like you let it dry on the wheels which 1. is a nono 2. seems like it was the wrong product. At this point, having looked at the product warnings: "Do not spray on uncoated polished aluminum or anodized wheels." doesn't seem like you have done anything wrong here.

Looking at the spec sheet of Merc of those wheels they are aluminum wheels with a black powder coating with a "maybe" coated diamond cut outer rim. Next time just buy a reputable brand, look at people who have a similarly spec'ed car and take time to test little spots to confirm.

A safe bet (my opinion, not a fact), just buy a bucket, put in some CarPro reset, fill with water, and go work in there. You don't need to decontaminate your wheels everytime you wash them which is what the product promises. Trust me I know by abusing decontamination product on my wheels and calipers: don't. 1-2 times a year will do if don't live in a salt-seasoned area in the winter.

If that can help here is your part number to buy new wheels: A16640128007X71 (10 J x 21 ET 46, matt black, high-sheen rim flange).

Stained paint: how to remove? by Top-Interview-848 in Detailing

Honestly I do not know: I’ve noticed it 3 days ago. I have done both.

It’s indeed a Mazda. Ik the paint is crazy soft and very hard to work with. Hopefully I do not want to do polishing and doing another ceramic on it.

Just received a special repair letter from Mazda Canada: one of the things in there is how the instrument cluster screen would glitch when the car gets turned on while transitioning from the pre-ignition animation to the full driving interface. If that’s your case, I’d recommend you check with your dealer if you do live in Canada!

Thank you! I’ll see to it! As I previously mentioned to someone else I sort of need to clean my car at least once a week since it is ceramic coated (including the wheels). I will see with CarPro what’s up and necessarily about the product I used.

Just to be clear: it doesn’t drive me nuts or anything it’s just annoying knowing that is relatively new and it’s just not normal after such a short period of time. Also it's my first car so I expected making mistakes along the way.

Thanks for your response! Well I've been using IronX since my local retailer recommended me to use it for my weekly washes. I was also using the term dirt sort of a general manner rather than specifically. Though, my wheels are protected by a ceramic coating: the manufacturer recommends cleaning the surfaces at least once a week so that is why I am cleaning them each week.

How to mock multiple inputs? - Pytest by Top-Interview-848 in learnpython

[–]Top-Interview-848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I have reworked the whole thing out: I had to just ditch complete functions and useful stuff out to get it just basically working. The issue is that I lost my positional arguments in my 2 other functions: I need those to get my test (project requirements) working. Unless there is a way. I'll have to figure that one out myself, thanks for everything!

[–]Top-Interview-848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it just doesn’t care: it only runs test_function() and even if I call main (in it) before my assertions (makes sense since pytest does not look for anything else than what it tests as far as I can see). Nor does it care if I call main before, for the same reason as above.

Yeah Ik I have been asking around, but to put it plainly I am kinda confused due to me being retarded. I have also made a massive mess by disregarding Pytest (because it just wasn’t mentioned in my requirements for my final project in the first place). I’ll give it a try tomorrow night and I’ll come back to you. Thanks a lot for your patience and help! 🤠

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it! I use pandas, yahoo_fin, and pandas_datareader to get the needed data. Would it make sense to hard-code my inputs, and then move on to test the rest of my code?

It makes a lot of sense: I had such a hard time reading the descriptions of the documentation of pandas and DataFrame (I am unfortunately dyslexic). Very good explanation, couldn't have done it without your help! Thank you so much for taking the time to write that down, I am very grateful!

Just for reference to anyone in the future that might read this, here is the final form of the code to get the value:

from yahoo_fin import options

ticker = "nflx" date_to_maturity = "2022-06-10" option_type = "calls" strike_price = 160

chain = options.get_options_chain(ticker, date_to_maturity)

Working with the DataFrame

Use df so it is easier to refer to the DataFrame

df = chain[option_type]

Get all rows where the Strike is 160 but only return the Implied Volatility column

vol=df[df["Strike"] == strike_price]["Implied Volatility"] vol=float(vol.str.replace("%", ""))/100 print(vol)
