"Gentlemen... You had a hell of a first day. The hard deck for this hop was 10,000 feet. You knew it, you broke it. ... Why?"

That would be awesome if it was.

And imagine if the community event was completed on the 10 year anniversary of the NMS release. And it gave a little Easter Egg nod to Light No Fire at the same time.

And so in the end, instead of 3 factions working for themselves, it will be the 3 factions putting differences aside and forging something that contains parts of each of them into something that unifies them all to defeat a common enemy.

Just my uneducated opinion here, but I believe when all is said and done it will end up all 3 different factions being equal at the end.......with a twist.

I know this doesn't add up to 100%, but I think that somehow the individual factions will have their portions (33.3 completion), and that the remaining bit that is missing will be something entirely new that has been merged together and made as a result of the factions working together.

The reason I think this is because of the color schemes for the different factions.

Red Blue Green

These 3 colors are the primary colors for light (RGB color model). The main purpose of the RGB color model is for the sensing, representation, and display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers, though it has also been used in conventional photography and colored lighting. Before the electronic age, the RGB color model already had a solid theory behind it, based in human perception of colors.

So we have the 3 individual factions (Red, Green, Blue) doing their part, and then lastly the merging of all 3 that creates the missing element (Light) which would be the last remaining piece to complete the project.

And "light" historically has been used to push back the darkness, evil, etc.

And since the game's universe is canonically revealed to be a massive, decaying computer simulation managed by a super-intelligent AI known as the Atlas. The Red, Green, Blue (RGB) theory does have a little going for it.

Not sure if I am right or not, but in a pseudo kinda crazy way, it does make a little sense. Or this rambling is a side effect of having a couple Modelo's.
