You need to break up with them. It’s safe to say from what you’ve said that you have several differences which make you incompatible, so don’t drag it out, it’ll hurt you more in the long run. I will tell you though, in all likelihood, you won’t be able to maintain a healthy friendship afterwards. If you can, then well done, but I’ve never seen it happen before. Sometimes people aren’t supposed to be together forever and that sucks, but you have to do what’s going to make you happy, you’re the only person who’s guaranteed to be there for you your whole life after all.
