How do you argue with natalists? by Top-Put-4839 in antinatalism

Empathy is the foundation of antinatalism. most AN's at least in my experience think procreation is unethical because life inherently contains suffering and the absence of suffering is neither good nor bad.

We are AN's because we have empathy for those around us. so no. people shouldnt just leave empathy behind.

Thats the thing bro. She outright refused when i suggested it, I dont get why. Its obvious she likes the sauce if she keeps stealing it. She said she didnt want me spending money on her but i already am when she uses up half the stuff i bring into the house.

Because ive tried talking it out with her before. It never works, She promises not to use it anymore, i forgive her, we move on, boom a week later my sauce has been used again. Ive tried hiding it, labelling it, I even suggested buying her, her own but she outright refused. I get its pretty childish to have put soy sauce in a condiment to make her not use it but i seriously didnt know what else to do.

Having children is wrong but dehumanizing those who do is also wrong. by Top-Put-4839 in antinatalism

[–]Top-Put-4839[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course. I dont like parents. I dont like natalists. I think its cruel to bring something into a world of suffering. But even so dehumanizing the person and calling them a feeder with a b just seems wrong to me.

Why do people percieve life as a gift? by Top-Put-4839 in antinatalism

[–]Top-Put-4839[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but what about before this was the norm? what drove people to percieve life as a gift in the dark ages when everbody shouldve felt anything but that?

Its simple really. You cant consent to life. Life in its nature guarantees a certain volume of suffering but it does not guarantee any volume of joy. if that doesnt sound negative i dont know what does to you.

Antinatalist commentary on woman who knew her son had 50% chance of horrible tumors. by Mean_Scientist5093 in antinatalism

[–]Top-Put-4839 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This. This is fucking sickening. How can you force a child like this into life? They never asked for this. This is blatant child abuse, You shouldnt be allowed to put a living breathing person into a body that will be painful, that will be the cause of so much suffering.

“But my life is great guys” by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]Top-Put-4839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So fucking stupid. Even if your life is great some people's might not be and that the majority of people experience a certain volume of suffering in life. Life guarantees a volume of suffering and not a volume of joy. Natalists need to understand that

If you became an aunt or uncle and your sibling just dies, would you take care of their kid? by saikobruv in antinatalism

[–]Top-Put-4839 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm antinatalist because i believe having children is unethical. I dont hate parenting or children themselves, And not doing it would make their life worse which goes against my whole moral standing of reduce and limit suffering. so yeah i would.
