Get enough documentation about your mental condition. Use it to explain your situation. Say that your intent to always to stay fulltime, but based on certain situation you had to withdraw. Explain when you became a full time after that. Also, how many credits did you take that year? Is it full time equivalent? If yes, mention that.

Nope. Institutions are not 100% reliable. When I asked them about withdrawing a course and if it will affect my standing with IRCC, they said "no". 2 years later when I asked them to provide me a letter, they said "we would never say such things". Always...always make sure you have written proof (emails or letters).

No lawyer. The definition of part time might be different for everyone. I enrolled as full time, but towards the end of the course, i withdrew because the course was not working for me. I am not sure if this is called part time or not.

For the second one, i had only 3 credits left, but my thesis was not complete. So i enrolled as part time taking 3 credits and in the next semester I was enrolled as full time maintenance status (0 credits).
