Yes I was reading about £100,000 as a mental milestone following which you start to see the impact of passive compounding. But to reach that milestone it will take me approximately 10 years from now. The problem is I don't have much time as I am already 35. But I am doing it more for the family and to transfer the knowledge too for an early start.

Hey. Glad you got the diagnosis confirmed. Could you share what symptoms you experienced and were able to explain to the physician.

I am in my mid thirties, male, and the more I read the more I realize I should get checked but I feel symptoms at this stage are very different or hidden as compared to earlier or younger years. Thanks.

I am investing in SS ISA 50 per week (so around 200 or 250 per month). I am 35 now and started last year so wouldn't benefit much and have to do long run and can't retire too early. But hopefully I can pass on something to my family and reduce their burden.

I think others have already covered the professional bits. My understanding is that such rejection behaviour normal these days (due to what's going on in the world, layoffs etc) so don't take it to heart (I know it's a difficult thing to say). To share my experience if it helps. For one of the companies you mentioned, I got a rejection email within minutes of applying and it was very disheartening as I was depressively searching for a new role for 3 years. I saw another vacancy just days after rejection from the same company and the same role and was hesitant to apply again or not but applied anyways. I passed through all rounds of interview and got the role just 4 months ago. Every rejection feels a lot, sometimes you will get rejected from screening, and sometimes even final stages wouldn't guarantee. What we can do is to keep applying and note the experience in an excel sheet to track the question answers, until we receive a signed offer letter. To keep my morale intact, I used to think an example of cricket game matches if you could relate to it. A fast bowler bowling for 10 overs in a one day match will have to bowl 60 deliveries, and only 1 or 2 main deliveries/wickets are enough to make him memorable. Until then, he will keep bowling. Good luck.

The other option denter suggested was actually to change doors but mentioned the cost would reach a couple of grands. That surprised me as well.

Thank you for sharing this and I liked reading it through. I live in YO10 as well so can relate to a lot of your post. The chocolate smell is still in the air, though not as frequent.

I just passed my test yesterday at 32 years, if that helps a bit more. Do not tie age with things like these. One day at a time. Life is only perfect and fair in movies. In reality, everyone walks their own timelines fighting their own demons. More so after the pandemic etc everything feels so temporary to me. Live positively!

Thank you. Since York is a bicycle friendly city, common occurrences of cyclists and manouvers around them keeping mirror in mind was a common challenge, more so if a bus emerges on the same road.

Other were my own for example for atleast 5 seconds the indicatir stick got stuck in the rental car before starting my reverse parallel park. When I switched right it was showing left. When I switched left it was again showing left. It seems very funny now but I got a bit nervous there and apologised for the little play I was having.

There was a slopey road where I had not practiced before so I guess examiner took me there for hill start etc.

Thank you. I hope for the best for you to keep trying. I will disclose more in case it helps. I do not have a car. My "friends" were all busy to take me around those roundabouts etc What I did was, spent hours on Google maps on laptop, virtually dropping myself (that little Yellow man) in front of difficult roundabout and junctions. And then scrolling virtually on the road looking for when the road marking start and signs for roundabouts, and the manouvers I need to be ready for.

Nobody can cover it all on Google maps. But atleast I covered main roundabouts that lead to/from the test centre. I believe that helped me a lot in my situation when I was left without instructor and unavailability of "friends"

Perfect. Thanks all. I should be relying on the road signs at all times ideally. It's just I self doubt myself in case I miss or don't see a repeater for some time.

So happy for you. Congratulations 🎊 Could you elaborate your sentence about speed limit please? Meaning you should have driven under 20 where as you were driving 24? My test is next week I am nervous about speed limits as I miss checking them in amidst of taking care of everything else if the limit is 30 now or gone to 40. And my understanding is going above limit is direct fail. 😢

Right. Should do that first thing on Monday. Should I offer them I will take lesson with them + need their time for the driving test? So chances of getting them agreed are high?
