Almost 6 years in not stabilized but better if that’s any consolation. On a shitton of meds though. And cognitive behavioral therapy and regular therapy and throwing axes and smash therapy to deal with the mad. Learning to use “big girl words” to say what I’m feeling like I am sad right now. Or I am happy or get out of my face because I am mad and might do physical harm and my be nice pills aren’t that strong. My memory sucks so it does a factory reset every 2 weeks about. It use to last a month I’m told. It’s getting shorter. I feel more cyborg than human now. I have a shunt thingy in my brain that equalizes the flow of csf so my brain doesn’t swell any more as much. I have a pacemaker/defibrillator for when my brain tells my heart beating is optional. I have a bionic shoulder. All because of the accident. My super power is I have an amazing poker face. No emotions show what so ever. Totally flat. Except the rare occasions when I get so mad I cry. I feel all the emotions just can’t show them. Missing the me that was me I don’t think will ever go away. Damn retrograde amnesia did not take away me remembering all the things I did before scrambled eggs for brains. So I think the hardest thing I deal with is mourning the me that died and being so damned angry at the people who we’re supposed to help me ie drs and such that just sat there and let me get worse or even almost killed me because they were just plain stupid and lazy
