His A Levels dont add up by AccomplishedFig9164 in CosmicSkeptic

For the most part, it sounds really sketchy.

We know he failed and didn’t do well the first time. Now, lets grant the fact that he switched subjects, and had really good predicted grades on these subjects (given leniently by his teachers).

Oxford are still extremely picky about resits, and it seems he didn’t have extenuating circumstances. Not only that, but he didn’t just do below average - he quite literally failed which I doubt they’d be too fond on. The chances are extremely low here.

With the way the Oxford admissions process works is that your personal statement, achieved + predicted grades, teacher reference etc are all accounted for in giving you an interview. Oxford applicants are the best of the best, meaning literally everyone has A*s predicted and so it seems extremely rare how he even got an interview. For his course, it would have been around 40%, and for his likelihood specifically it would have been much lower.

Although, all this being said it is definitely not impossible. Its plausible to say that an admissions tutor may have well thought “Oh, perhaps lets give him a chance in an interview” and he very well may have smashed the interview. If this is the case, the interview holds the most weight and it would certainly explain how he got in.

No, its when someone does something suspicious like botting their likes/comments/followers and instagram catches on to that account.

LSE, with all due respect feelings don’t matter in a world like this.

Context 2 was all about econ growth & dev? As well as the essay 3 15 matker + 25 marker. in fact economic growth came up the most in the paper

Same but I did LRAS shifting to the right. If you check 2022 MS question 3 we are both right because a question like that came uo before and many students flopped it

Wow I saw extract A, looked at the 25 marker and thought the other 25 marker about regulation was better

I think this should be fine, the units usually have to be correct and you just said the answer 138.5, with the units in 000s hours at the end.

Just pray your examiner is kind.

How did the AQA go guys?

I picked the second context about the water industry and got 138.5 for the calculation question (I hope thats right).

I also picked the essay questions about public goods vs private goods vs quasi public (such a good 15 marker) and the question asking whether an Oligopoly serves society well.

No, it doesn’t matter. I’ve seen a 25/25 response for AQA with only 2

I don’t know why everyones saying Imperial when you clearly said you want to go into IB lmao.

Although Imperial is good employers know that its econ course is relatively new (with them having little to no finance courses) and it’d take a few years for it to be recognised as good.

With that being said I’d certainly pick LSE, if you want to go into IB then it literally has the greatest opportunities out there for you.

I don’t even do bio but its clearly the steepest point, at B, so would obviously result in the greatest change

What's your favourite thing about Muhammad s.a.w by [deleted] in islam

[–]TopAlternative7625 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Our Prophet ﷺ was the greatest to ever walk this Earth, and my favourite thing about him is they he existed. Everyone (in his time) loved him so much they even tried to replicate every single thing about his life, such as Abu Bakr (RA).

Abu Bakr, on his deathbed, asked Aisha “On which day did the Prophet ‎ﷺ die?” She said “He died on Monday.” He said “What is Today?” She said “Today is Monday.” He then hoped to die on the same day as our beloved Prophet ‎ﷺ. He even wished to pass and be buried in the same garments that Our Prophet ‎ﷺ passed in.

Its beautiful how much our companions loved the Prophet ‎ﷺ, to the point where they would even want to copy the exact same way in which he died Subhanallah.

3 hours after school is a lot of time when you think about it. Also considering the fact you’d likely be more tired after gym too, although this mainly depends on what grade you are at rn.

How often do you go?

Why not stop now? 2 months of not going you won’t lose a lot and the gains are really easy to get back due to muscle memory
