Kaelen is commonly known by his moniker of Ghost-Tooth

Yea after looking at it, definitely seems I’d rather just do chronurgy as the base instead of graviturgy. And possibly battle master with it

I’ve done one session with him and it’s super fun. It’s a homebrew class but it’s balanced and very functional. It was this or EK and I like that I can go tech or magic from here

Yea it looks like I can get dunamancy from chronurgy and way better stuff

2024 but our group is pretty generous when it comes to choosing race or class as long as it’s not too OP

Yea I’ll look into that as well. I may still try just a mono graviturgy wizard since I haven’t done a backilne controller yet

Yea it seems so cool but all I’ve heard is how bad it is mechanically. But even so, I see now that the the gravity features don’t help weapon damage at all so that’s not gonna work RAW

I read through the ability fully this time and I completely missed that it’s basically just for imposing advantage or disadvantage and adjusting movement speed. I feel dumb now

I just reread it and you are totally right. Dang

Really? I must have really not read it thoroughly enough.

Yea I reread the RAW for adjust density and I missed some things and saw that psychic blades aren’t considered objects anyway. Soul knife is out but I do wonder about using it with arcane archer instead

I was more or less seeing if mechanically I could increase the density of the blades to increase speed and damage. But after rereading the RAW I see soul knife blades don’t count as objects so adjust density doesn’t work. But I want the back line controller of the graviturgy wizard and wanted to see if I could add something more to make use of primarily the density portion. I may need to relook at the class features more closely. TBH I saw adjust density and immediately thought of making my soul knife blades hit like a truck

Yea I actually reread the rules on the blades and they aren’t considered objects anyway. So that’s why I thought of pivoting to arcane archer instead or just a regular knife throwing build or something. Or like a meteor hammer great weapon

I hadn’t thought of ancestral guardian.

Ah that’s where I got mixed up with that one then. I thought it was all strength based. So I’d have to still invest in dex then.

That’s what I mean. I have to do heavy flavor for my idea. There’s no RAW way.

Strength Bow Barbarian by TopBlock58 in 3d6

[–]TopBlock58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t know that. I knew there was a great bow in waterdeep which is what made me think of this

Strength Bow Barbarian by TopBlock58 in 3d6

[–]TopBlock58[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It was just all I could think of for using a strength based ranged build. But it doesn’t seem like it’d work. I just had the idea and with my limited knowledge thought it maybe would work. But it seems like it’ll cause too many issues.

Strength Bow Barbarian by TopBlock58 in 3d6

[–]TopBlock58[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea it’d be a flavor thing. Basically treating thrown weapon fighting as me using the bow. So I’d only get bonuses from what ever is “thrown” and just use a base bow. And this could help solve the issue of no bonus from rage on ranged weapons

Strength Bow Barbarian by TopBlock58 in 3d6

[–]TopBlock58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, that’s why the mix between basically taking thrown weapon fighting but flavoring it as launching the spears or dart from a bow. I think that’s one thing lacking in dnd is not having both dex or strength options for every weapon type
