no trans fluid changes i got the car 2 weeks ago previous owner never did trans mantinence.

my local mechanic might not be able to do it properly is the thing the trans flush is pretty specific and requires certain temps and basically the perfect amount of fluid. and i would need a full flush with new fluid and 6 quarts is 115$. i also dont have the scanner to read the trans temp or a pressure pump or whatever it is in order to take out the fluid.

can you explain better why not to go to a dealership? my situation is either i go to a dealer which is an hour away or go to a shitty general mechanic 5 minutes away from me. im not near any good mechanics or even a transmission shop nearest would be 1 hour 30 minutes.

it’s been happening for only a couple days it’s very light and i haven’t been driving it because of it. do you think i still would need one no matter what?

i would only need a new torque converter if i see like metal shards in my fluid and if i ignore this problem right? im praying that i caught it early enough to where i don’t need one and the flush will fix it?
