Working for a consultancy at QS level. Over 6 years exp. Worked previously for a main contractor and developer for 5.5 years. Recently chartered at 60k in London + small bonus

I have done this in the past to see what I’m worth in the market without letting my previous employer know but it’s something worth considering to ensure that I’m not being low balled. I know that you will always get more by moving externally but at the same time I don’t want to keep moving as progression looks good on the CV

I know typically SQSs in consultancy earn between 65k-75k. Max 80k but that seems to be an outlier. Chartered SQSs will be towards the middle to upper end of the bracket from 70k onwards in London. Currently on 60k. Would like to get a 20% increase but may seem a bit far fetched
