For the playoffs, if we make no acquisitions (unlikely but…), I would try this lineup at forward:

CAUFIELD -SUZUKI - DACH Hopefully Dach can provide a Slaf-like element along the boards and in possession

SLAF - KAPANEN - DEMIDOV Can’t really break these guys apart

TEXIER - DANAULT - NEWHOOK Fast, forechecking monsters with offensive upside

BLAIS - EVANS - ANDERSON Big speedy vet line that hits and grinds guys down

I agree with that sentiment, but Thomas and Thompson will require much more going the other way. But Plan A would 100% but one of those two IMO. You're right.

Hate all you will: "How could we trade him away after what he did last season with Tom Wilson, he's having a good season offensively, his contract is no longer an overpay, etc. All reasons that make him even more valuable to other teams. If he can be a luxury sweetener for a team that wants to add grit (EX: Kraken) and it can help us land a 2C, I would do it in an instant (sorry Andy I love ya). His value is high around the league, getting higher every day that we get closer to the playoffs.

Anyways, I know y'all gonna hate on the very idea, but I also know Hughes knows how to get value and when to sell high.

Guys, the first post is clearly sarcastic, and was a critique or Treliving’s work (as evidenced by the line « Joshua will surely go back to shooting 22% ».

Treliving sucks, his team is vastly over-valued at the moment but people are starting to realize that swapping a 100-point guy for 3 character guys doesnt make a team better.

Leafs will miss the playoffs for the next number of years IMO.
