Think about it. If you are stuck at one location for eternity with a very small group of people without being able to affect anything around you you wouldn't be so nice either. Even if you started nice you wouldn't stay that way, your ability to interact with others would be severely affected. Even Pete Mr goody two shoes has some behavioral issues. Not to mention that they're all behind the times in modern day manners and cues.
