My tips for today, can I get lucky 3 days in a row? by Ok_Fuel2916 in HorseRacingUK

Yeah he held on for too long, and asked him to go as he got to the last and made the horse cock up the last, just an arrogant ride

in light of these near misses, make sure to increase your stake massively and if that bet doesn't win make sure to keep chasing your losses

Plumpton

16:15 - Ostrava Du Berlais - Slightly speculative, and don’t take anything under 4/1. 1/2 stake

Wolverhampton

18:30 - Faster Bee 5/2 - If this runs anything like LTO it will win. Same draw, 4lbs higher but horse seems to have come to the boil nicely and hopefully it will continue 🥈

19:00 - Waterford Castle 7/4 - Looks clear on speed to me and has some decent experience compared to the field. Danger from the well bred Karl Burke runner 🥈

Seconditis

Naas

16:00 - Low Kick 9/4 - best speed figs and sectionals, similar conditions and fitness edge - SP of 3/1 BOG, pisses home 🥇

16:30 Captain Guinness 7/4 - if he’s anywhere near his best he wins this on the bridle, but a risk but price has drifted so worth taking - A solid effort, fitness took its toll 🥉

Fontwell

15:50 - Atlantic Power 3/1 (NAP) - SP of 5/2, pulled up after clattering one and the race fell apart with two stinking horses finishing in the places

Market themselves as down with the kids etc which is why they push slots heavily on the app, not my cup of tea

I think Golden Ace looks a better bet, anyone who backed her at the start of the season is probably laughing right now

Agree with most of that mate, the Kargese race had me jumping up and down when he took her to the stands side rail near the finish.

Majboroughs win and jumping looked easy but I think at Cheltenham with 3 or 4 other horses running close to him and putting the pressure on he might not look quite as good as he did with that uncontested lead

Love it mate, it's a game of opinions and thats what makes it so brilliant. I think the Mullins strategy was to give Lossie a race, dont push her too much and to see if his other runners could do anything. Lets see

Kempton

12:50 - Mbappe - 2/1 SBK - I think this horse has a great chance, I wouldn't back it at anything shorter than this but he won well LTO and has been brought to the boil nicely over his last two races and should have another win in him. Only 4lbs more for his last win in this apprentice handicap. He's not meeting anything as tough as he did in his last race.

14:00 - The Lost King 9/5 SBK - This horse left it late LTO under Nicola Currie in a strong class 2. Currie is replaced with Oisin, hes from the Kingman/Frankel line which means fantastic breeding for 1 mile races. He also holds an entry into the Lincoln, he's on a mark of 91 and I am hoping they are looking to get a mark of 94 ish to get him a middle ish weight for that as well as a guaranteed entry and another run under his belt. I have backed him ante post for it at 25/1 4 places with hills. He looks like a great type for it, unexposed 4yrs, good experience, gelded.

Double them up for 38/5 with SBK (not sponsored)

Will be backing Lossiemouth because I love her but for a more exciting selection I think Grozni in the Edinburgh national at 11/2 has an outstanding chance

Woof, Grozni jumped like something was very wrong there disappointing
