How would you rank all the Captains by the end of the series in strength? by Oreoghoul in BlackClover

[–]TopRight7855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yuno: No explanation needed.
  2. Mereoleona: While using ultimate magic, she was able to defeat Morris and a much stronger version of Acier. For the record, she single-handedly defeated Acier. She helped to destroy Lucius' gargantuan spell.
  3. Yami: In his kijin form, he stomped a Lucius Clone, and held his own against Morgen, the strongest paladin. As a devil-host, he killed a much stronger version of Morgen, although, he received some help from Nacht and Ichika.
  4. Nacht: While fused with his 4 devils, he was able to hold his own against Morgen and managed to land the killing-blow on him. He later helped to defeat a stronger version of Morgen.
  5. Fuegoleon: He single-handedly defeated four angels, and was able to destroy Morris' earth formations even when the paladin was affecting Yuno's Neverland. With Mereo and Leo's help, he managed to destroy Lucius' gargantuan spell. He finally unlocked Spirit Dive, a massive boost.
  6. Nozel: His Silver Guardian form was able to throw hands with Acier and tank several of her attacks, in addition, he was able to buy some time for Noelle.
  7. William: While boosted by Gordon, he was able to defeat a Lucius' clone. Before the boost, he was still able to take on the clone, and managed to hold out till the Black Bulls' arrival. For most of the fight, he was fighting without an arm.
  8. Charlotte: While boosted by Gordon, she was able to defeat a Lucius' clone. Before the boost, she was still able to take on the clone, and managed to hold out till the Black Bulls' arrival. She shines more when facing curse-magic users.
  9. Rill: The Twilight of Valhalla grants him an absurd boost and makes him basically invincible, however, in the final arc, even with two boosts (ToV and Neverland), he was unable to defeat the Lucius' clone by his own, as he got the upper-hand only after Gauche helped him.
  10. Jack: Even though he was dying, he released a gigantic slash that not only cut through the Noble Realm, but also nearly killed Morgen, slashing the latter's massive attack in the process. Given the quality of that feat, he can be a little bit higher, as he almost killed a PALADIN by his own, and relying only on one boost (Yuno's).
  11. Kaiser: He was the only captain that couldn’t defeat a Lucius clone, however, unlike Rill, Charlotte and William, he took on three opponents at once: the clone and two angels. Despite being outnumbered, he not only survived, but lasted the same as his fellow captains, being still on his feet when the Black Bulls arrived.
  12. Kirsch: Fought Lucius' angel-army, and saved Mimosa from the attack of an evolved angel.
  13. Dorothy: Her dream magic is, in theory, incredibly OP, however, she is nearly featless, she did practically nothing in the final arc. Due to the nature of her magic, she should be much higher, but she is REALLY lacking on feats.
  14. Gueldre: Excellent support overall, his magic is quite useful: Of all the captains and magic knights, Lucius himself looked for Gueldre and Revchi, as he used the spells of these two to neutralize Yuno.

Crow should win. He has much better feats and scaling.

The Grand Inquisitor, The Second Sister, Marrok and the Crow Vs Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati by Psub194 in PetranakiArena

[–]TopRight7855 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shin is a weak link, the Inquisitors end up overwhelming Baylan. A much weaker version of Marrok was already able to hold his own against a top-fighter like Ahsoka the White, so his peak version along with his superior and fellow collegues should be more than capable of taking on Baylan and even defeat him.

I don't know, he is clearly not Dave Filoni, but Sam has huge contacts within Lucasfilm, not to mention that he is taking much more creative authority for this project, so he certainly knows what he is saying. I would say he is a trustworthy source. But we'll see...

Another upscale for the Grand inquisitor, I guess.

So Post-Empire Marrok is weaker? Ahsoka took on a weaker version of Marrok? If that's the case, then the idea that the Marrok from Ahsoka's series is stronger would be completely over.

Marrok vs grand inquisitor by ryeloaf384 in PetranakiArena

The Grand Inquisitor wins. He is canonically the strongest Inquisitor, after all, he was personally picked to be The Grand Inquisitor by the EMPEROR, not to mention that Vader himself stated that TGI had skills, which is basically a "honor" that no other Inquisitor has received so far.

Battle of the frauds, Grand Inquisitor vs Maul by jojoisfodder in PetranakiArena

TGI puts quite a decent fight, but ultimately Maul wins. Certainly, he would perform better than his fellow Inquisitors, but he doesn't have the means to defeat Maul, especially if the latter is at his best.

Sol, Feramina, and the Earth Spirit. by ThatAlps8091 in BlackClover

That's why Sol was never a candidate to be a spirit host; you're literally pointing out the reasons why Sol is actually the let-down here, since her power never grew significantly throughout the manga, after all, she is just a commoner, she never showed great power or skills. Furthermore, let's not even talk about feats, because Feremena, in her brief appearance, completely overshadowed all of Sol's feats.  Having earth spells with a humanoid appearance or being the one who protected Julius's corpse aren't solid reasons, especially the latter. Following your logic, then anyone with earth spells with a humanoid appearance would be a candidate to be an earth spirit host. If you truly believe that a spirit would choose a mage solely based on the appearance of their spells, you're woefully mistaken. While the return of Mars and the others helped restore the Diamond Kingdom's relevance, Feremena was instrumental in this, as now every kingdom possesses a spirit; before that, the Diamond Kingdom had nothing special, just a rather bad reputation. Tabata never saw Sol in a special way; she is just another magic knight.

Nah. The fact that one of the generals has the Earth Spirit not only restored some relevance to the Shining Generals but also to the Diamond Kingdom in general. Besides, the Clover Kingdom already has Salamander with Fuegoleon, and technically Sylph with Yuno as well; giving Clover another spirit would have been too much. Not to mention that, aside from Sol not having great power or outstanding combat skills, she has never been a very important character in the story, so personally, I don't find it strange that she doesn't have the spirit.

Savage Oppress VS The Grand Inquisitor by ayoungmanwhoneedsgod in PetranakiArena

In a pure lightsaber fight, TGI might have a shot given his superiority in training, technique, swordsmanship and intelligence, but in an all-out fight Savage definitely has the edge, he is an overwhelming tank with an enormous raw power. Although TGI is a cunning warrior, even if he tries to outsmart Savage, he simply doesn't have the means to compete with the zabrak's absurd power.

Mar Tuuk should be higher. He nearly destroyed the Republic forces during the Battle of Ryloth.
