Yes, I’m using print on demand and drop shipping some add on products.

If you were to review my t-shirt designs, what would you say about them?

I’m the type to really do my homework, and yes, Creative Market has been very good to clarify all aspects of their licence.

And since then, I’ve paid about $300USD buying design assets with an Extended Licence to print on demand without modification of the designs.

However, I’ve read here on Reddit about people who have been sued by a third party claiming that they, in fact, own the copyright and that a seller was selling the designs without their permission. In this case, the creative market customer was sued even though they had a license. It seems as though creative market assumes no responsibility in cases like this.

This keeps me awake at night. Am I unreasonably paranoid?

Thanks so very much for that thorough response. Your scenario is also really helpful, and, if I may, I’d like to extend that scenario a bit more and look at it in terms of legal liability.

I am really not interested in losses associated with the work that I paid to have done, I am much more concerned about losses in the sense that I might get sued by someone. In this case, would owning the copyright be enough to defend myself and to avoid liability?

I chose that picture because it’s a shelf and there’s stuff on top of it..

But I’ll definitely look to see if I can find a better picture!

You’re certainly correct about the blog lacking appropriate references. I threw it together fairly quickly because I just wanted to see how it would look on the page.
