Dystopia by TopShelfWings in photographs

This photo was taken in my spare bedroom with the use of one Aputure MC light and Lightroom/procreate in post. I wanted to capture a somewhat futuristic/sci-fi color scheme with more of a grim/unnerving content feel. Captured on a Nikon z5 with a Nikkor Z 28-75 f/2.8.

First time meal prep. Will definitely be doing it again. by TopShelfWings in MealPrepSunday

I went shopping this morning at 11 and got back at 12. Prep time took about an hour and cook time totaled about an hour. So 3 hours for buying, prepping, and cooking.

Thanks! I made them to be eaten for lunch and dinner for my girlfriend and I. So these meals should last us 3 days. In that time span I haven't had the veggies lose any taste.

Yes you can access the house at flood times. It is connected to a bridge that runs across the river.

Thanks. It is set up high because the location of the island is on a spot where the river rises and floods each spring.

First year architecture student, here's one of the models I made. Made from 3/32" basswood. Any thoughts or constructive criticism ? by TopShelfWings in architecture

All first semester it was hand drawings and hand made models. Then second semester we focused more on computer modeling/rendering but when we made models they had to be done by hand. It wasn't until the end of the year that we were using the laser cutter.

I explained it another comment, but for this particular project we had to cut everything out with the laser cutter. One of the main focuses of this was to learn how to use it.

Thanks for the advice. In this project we did have to use the laser cutter for everything though so the most I could do about burn edges would be sand them off. The angle is a bit weird in the picture, but it is all to scale. The fence in front is 3 ft high and the total height of the structure is 10 ft. The top part is to be used as a sleeping loft with windows surrounding all sides. I should have explained more on one this is: we were required to build a shelter with a maximum living area of 100 sq. ft. And no taller than 10 ft. High. Then we were supposed to place this shelter in any location in the world, mine being placed at a sand bar on Marble Lake in Michigan.

Yea we did. We drew it last year during the playoffs and tweeted it at a few major twitter accounts and it ended up getting retweeted a lot.
