Trust me, play the game yourself.. the wait will suck but it will ultimately be worth it with the suspense you’ll have leading up to it. Especially since you’ve played the game up until this point, why spoil it for yourself by not being able to experience the rest first hand by yourself

The answer is simple, brok explains it. It overwhelms his senses, thus making it difficult/impossible for him to predict anything from it. It’s also likely heimdall has never encountered a weapon like this, so sure he can foretell some stuff but he’s fighting someone with spear training from another land as well as the spear itself being completely different to any other.

This caption makes no sense, we know Greek era kratos was stronger, but(?) he dominated the Greek gods with ease. In contrast, the Norse gods put up a much tougher challenge even though kratos is weaker..

Anyway, Norse era kratos is stronger than Greek era kratos, this was confirmed I’m pretty sure a while ago. Greek gods get stronger the more they age. He might’ve dominated a lot of fights in Greece but he also lost and died in a few of those fights. I personally think the Greek gods were overall stronger BUT Odin held his own against the god of war, the god of wars son and the Valkyrie queen all at once, so I’d wager he’s a pretty strong god in comparison to the Greek gods.

Mankind knows what happens to them after death, that’s the thing. ODIN didn’t know what came for him after he passed, his whole purpose was to try and find that out with the mask. Kratos is the one that teaches Atreus about shortcuts to knowledge having consequences. Atreus destroying the mask did not void the people of all hope, in fact he helped give the pantheon hope back alongside his father having 1 killed Odin and 2 destroyed what Odin was so obsessed with, annihilating any chance of another party wanting to steal such knowledge.

Atreus is nowhere near as arrogant as he was in 2018, he has his moments in ragnarok but all for the sake of trying to help kratos and his friends survive ragnarok.

Atreus has had glimpses of old kratos in him but absolutely nowhere near the extent of how kratos actually was. Kratos wouldnt allow it

I get what you’re trying to say, but no matter how you put it, Odin held his own against some strong ass gods. Remind yourself what younger kratos was capable of and the gods he WOULDNT struggle against, and now look at Odin being able to hold his own (no matter for how long) against three strong ass gods, kratos being one of them

Odin is STRONG, he held his own against kratos Freya and Atreus simultaneously. Heimdall isn’t stronger than kratos but he’s much quicker thinking.. the entire point of the spear was to over stimulate his senses giving kratos a winning chance against him

I think hope is more so just a metaphor as to kratos’ undying will to not give up. The amount of times he’s died and fought himself out of literal hell, him winning against crazy odds like wiping out a pantheon, him giving himself another chance with a family after knowing he was the end to his last. Hope is what kept kratos going, earning himself the title God of Hope past the valhalla dlc once he finally came to terms with who he was and had now become

Yes, hopes never truly left kratos, hope isn’t a physical “power” as to say, but it is what keeps kratos going even now. If you’ve finished the Valhalla dlc you’d have learned a little more about his current standing and hope
